Perfect Day - Wester M was our amazing guide for this perfect cultural tour! There was lunch that was delicious. Some beach time at Macoa. He helped my mom in and out of van.

Amazing tour! - The tour was fantastic from start to finish. Our guide Wester Martinez was so knowledgeable and really went the extra mile to ensure we didn't feel rushed, we were well catered for in a modern air-conditioned vehicle. The tour was only 7 people (two of us and another family) so it felt very personal. The places we stopped at weren't over crowded so you didn't feel rushed or overwhelmed. Whilst Dominican Republic is very meat heavy as expected, there was also a vegetarian spaghetti option along with salad and assorted fruit so nobody goes hungry. Lots of yummy rum if wanted, but soft drinks and water were also offered. Would thoroughly recommend this tour and hope Wester gets the recognition he deserves as he is a credit to the company and Dominican Republic. Wester also took the time to contact me the day before the tour and took lots of pictures and sent them through WhatsApp which was a really lovely touch and memories kept alive.

Great tour guide & driver - My tour guide and driver was Robinson & Sandy. They were both great! Robinson was very informative and he made this tour fun. They both interacted with the group.

Great small group cultural tour with a friendly guide - We appreciated the friendliness of our local tour guide and the small size of our group (8). We travelled with a 5month old baby and were able to do most of the activities, minus the horseback riding. The lunch provided was very tasty and our tour guide even stopped on the way to purchase a fresh avocado after we chatted about it in the van so we could taste them ourselves. If there was any con, that would be the number of stops we had to make. Maybe one less stop would have made this trip more baby friendly. But overall a very doable excursion with a baby

It was fascinating to be... - It was fascinating to be able to see how the locals live everyday life in the DR since that always interests me everywhere I travel. Wester was a fantastic guide and even took creative photos for us which I enjoyed!

Great Tour but NOT a “Half Day” - You get to do/see SO MUCH in this tour! It’s well worth the price. Our driver (Sandy) and guide (Robinson) were awesome! Just be aware that this is NOT a “half day” experience - we were picked up from our resort at 7:45am and dropped off at 4:30pm. Don’t get me wrong, it was worth it… just don’t expect to have time for much else that day.

The tour was great! So... - The tour was great! So much packed into a day for a great price. Very safe and authentic. Our tour guide Robinson, was awesome! My only complaint was that the tour is marketed as a half-day, but plan for a full day. We were off property from 8am - 4pm, not the 5 hours they claimed, so don’t make other plans.

Good cultural learning - The experience has been very positive. Horseback riding, typical food, basilica, flea market, farm with coffee, chocolate and more; cigar factory and beach. Also, the guides are very friendly.

Definitely worth it! - This is a great excursion! If you can request Francisco, he’s the best! Very knowledgeable as he grew up in the Dominican and we even go through his town where he said he knows everyone and waved and said hello to many! The countryside is beautiful, something you don’t see while at the resort, and seeing the small towns and how they live is an eye opener. They don’t have much but they are happy and hard working people. We learned a lot about the way they live and the fruits, vegetables, coffee, cacao beans etc that they harvest. Definitely would do this trip again! And Francisco is the best guide!

Very nice trip to Higüey with a friendly guide - We had a very enjoyable day trip to Higüey. Our guide Wester was extremely friendly, guest-oriented and drove very safely. He was also very kind with our children, which we really appreciated. During the tour he shared some interesting insights about local plants and botany, which made the trip even more enjoyable. The only thing that could have made the experience even better would have been a bit more historical information – for example about the cathedral in Higüey and the history of the town. Overall, however, it was a lovely day and a very pleasant experience. We would definitely recommend the tour.
