Located at the confluence of River Oich, it enters the middle section of the Canal, which stretches 60 miles (100 kilometers) from Inverness to Fort William. On busy days, the village buzzes with activity as onlookers marvel at boats navigating the five canal locks, lifting them through the Great Glen.
• The Falls of Foyers - Enjoy a short yet spectacular walk to the south of Loch Ness, where the elegant Falls of Foyers cascade into a frozen wonderland.
• Boleskine House - Built around 1760, Boleskine House was once owned by the Fraser family, occultist Aleister Crowley, and later, Led Zeppelin guitarist Jimmy Page. The house is rumored to have a tunnel leading directly to the estate cemetery, adding to its mysterious and intriguing aura.
