Starting from the amazing songs, all the way to the very informative stories and all the folklore of Scottish history was so lovely! Praise for Nick - The tour was great and a lot of fun, with many amazing sights to see, but our guide, Nick, really made it a truly memorable experience. He has great taste in music, he’s a wonderful storyteller, and very, very funny, a one-man comedy show, really. I almost enjoyed his stories more than the actual tour itself (which is saying a lot). You’re definitely lucky if you get him as your guide, we had a great time! Nick definitely deserves a raise, or at the very least a cookie. 😜

The Guide who turns a tour to an Adventure! - Nick is truly one of the best tour guides we’ve ever had! He’s not only a very nice person, but also incredibly funny—always keeping the group alive, engaged, and never bored throughout the journey. His energy and humor made the experience feel less like a tour and more like an adventure with friends. What stood out the most was how much he cared about everyone’s safety and enjoyment. He constantly checked in to make sure we were comfortable, safe, and having a good time. His instructions were always simple, clear, and easy to follow, which made the whole trip stress-free. Nick also has a natural talent for storytelling, he doesn’t just share information, he makes it fun, relatable, and memorable. You can really tell he loves what he does, and that passion makes the tour so much more special. He doesn’t just guide you through places, he creates experiences you’ll never forget.

A trip worth taking. - We had an amazing time, our driver and guide Nick was helpful, knowledgeable and funny. He kept up a running commentary of information and stories throughout the trip.which was both useless and useful. The slides were amazing instead of looking at more coos"guess who"Nick

A day trip must-have from Edinburgh! - I had an absolutely fantastic time on the Loch Ness, Glencoe & the Highlands Guided Day Tour from Edinburgh with Timberbush Tours. The scenery was breathtaking from start to finish, but what truly made the experience special was our guide and driver, Holly. Holly was knowledgeable, engaging, and had a great sense of humor that kept the whole bus entertained throughout the long day. She shared fascinating stories about Scottish history, culture, and local legends, which really brought the Highlands to life. Her passion for Scotland was clear and contagious. Even when our bus unexpectedly broke down, Holly handled the situation calmly and professionally. She kept everyone informed, reassured, and made sure the delay was managed as smoothly as possible — turning what could have been a stressful situation into just another memorable part of the adventure. Thanks to Holly, the tour felt well-organized, relaxed, and genuinely enjoyable. I would highly recommend this tour to anyone visiting Scotland, and if you’re lucky enough to have Holly as your guide, you’re in for an even better experience!

Roundabout in Scotland - The Highlands tour from Edinburgh, although tiring, as it lasts 12 hours and takes about 600km by bus, was a pleasant experience. Our English-language guide, Gary, was knowledgeable and friendly, and peppered the trip with many Scottish curiosities and legends. The tour starts and returns to Castle Terrace, the street with panoramic views of the castle, and passes iconic locations through green landscapes adorned with the blue of the lakes. The most fascinating stop is without doubt the Glencoe valley, dominated by the Three Sisters, enchanting peaks that have risen to symbolize the Highlands. Since lunch is packed, I recommend bringing a small backpack with sandwiches. In the Service area, in fact, prices are higher and the quality is not excellent. The excursion also includes a stop at Loch Ness; the cruise is optional and is paid separately to the driver. Before the possible boat trip, there is also a stop at Urquhart Castle: again, the visit is discretionary and not included in the cost of the tour. However, all the details and tours, which can be booked online, are illustrated on the official website.
