Dornoch Cathedral - Constructed in 1224, Dornoch Cathedral is a medieval parish church in the quaint town of Dornoch. As part of the Church of Scotland, which follows Presbyterianism, the church is not a bishop’s seat but retains its name due to its historical role as the seat of the Bishop of Caithness. The cathedral’s churchyard is next to Dornoch Castle, the partially restored remains of the medieval palace of the bishops of Caithness. It was originally a Catholic Cathedral.

Black Rock Gorge - Black Rock Gorge is a deep and narrow chasm, formed by rapids heavily laden with sediment being pushed upwards as part of the great post-glacial rebound over 10,000 years ago.
