- Urquhart Castle - The one-day Loch Ness tour from Inverness begins at 08:45, following the scenic Caledonian Canal to its source at Loch Ness. Spanning 24 miles and reaching depths of over 700 feet, this loch is the largest by volume in the British Isles and is renowned for sightings of the Loch Ness Monster, affectionately called “Nessie.” The morning is spent at Loch Ness, providing ample time for Nessie-spotting! The first stop is Urquhart Castle (optional extra), where visitors can explore the 13th-century ruins, enjoy the visitor center, and take in the stunning views and ambiance of Scotland’s most famous loch.
- Fort Augustus - The tour then proceeds to Fort Augustus, the furthest point of the Loch Ness tour. Here, there is time to enjoy a relaxing hour-long boat cruise (optional extra) across Loch Ness with Cruise Loch Ness. Afterward, lunch can be enjoyed in the quaint town, which has a population of just 650, making it an ideal place to unwind and watch boats navigate the Caledonian Canal.
- The Falls of Foyers - Following lunch, the Loch Ness tour heads back to Inverness, stopping at the Falls of Foyers. This magnificent 165ft waterfall, a favored retreat of poet Rabbie Burns, is truly awe-inspiring. There is ample time to absorb the atmosphere before the tour continues to the village of Dores for a visit to Dores Beach on the eastern shores of Loch Ness.
- Dores Beach - Spend a brief time strolling along the pebble-strewn shoreline before boarding the coach for the final return journey to Inverness, where the Loch Ness day tour concludes.

Loch Ness adventures (in the snow!) - This was a very fun tour! Got to see a lot of very beautiful places and loop the Loch Ness and experience a few places I wouldn’t have otherwise gotten the chance to visit!
Our tour guide was Stewart and he was amazing! He was very knowledgeable and funny and really made this experience even better with the stories and his really fun attitude. He made this already very fun tour even better, and safely got us through some unexpected snow! I could not recommend this tour more!

Our amazing Mohamed guide, very good energy telling historical data and stories all along, was indicating the key points and gave us tips for the different stops, really made our experience much better ☺️🫶

More outdoor walks - The guide Alan was excellent, with knowledge of the history of the region, geography and also popular culture. The return to the lake was super informative and also active: we walked a lot in nature, less time by bus. That was great!

Unforgettable experience - We took a 3-day private tour from Edinburgh to Inverness and the Highlands and back. What a fantastic time we had! Michelle - our guide - was absolutely fantastic! She drove us safely, shared funny anecdotes and genuinely interesting facts, and always respected our need to stop so we could explore and enjoy Scotland even more. She also made us feel incredibly welcome with thoughtful gifts that captured the spirit of Scotland. She’s a real asset to the company, and we loved every moment of our tour!

Excellent attention from the company. - We had originally booked the Loch Ness and Urquhart castle tour. The company called us the day before and let us know the tour had to be cancelled because the minimum amount of people hadn't been met. They offered us to do the Isle of Skye and Eileen Donan castle tour instead, which was an excellent trade. The tour was amazing and deserves a separate review. The attention we got from Timberbush tours was outstanding.

Exceptional! - The best way to see the Highlands, despite some “liquid sunshine” weather.
Tour guide Mohammad was incredibly knowledgeable, kind and courteous.

Little interest - Alex was a very professional guide and shared his great knowledge of the area. Unfortunately, the highlight of the tour, the cruise on the Lochness was cancelled the day before without replacement or refund of the activity, although I reported my disappointment in immediate return
So I will not be advising this body. On the other hand, the other stops were limited to photo stops, apart from the Foyers waterfall.
