• The Loch Ness Centre - At this site, formerly the Drumnadrochit Hotel, Mrs. Aldie MacKay reported seeing a ‘whale-like fish’ or ‘water beast’ in Loch Ness. Her sighting ignited a media frenzy and gave rise to a global legend.

• Beauly Priory - Beauly Priory is one of three priories established in Scotland around 1230 for monks of the Valliscaulian order. The Valliscaulians originated from Val-des-Choux (‘Valley of the Cabbages’) near Dijon in France and followed strict principles of poverty, chastity, and obedience. Beauly, meaning ‘beautiful place,’ must have seemed an ideal location for the monks to dedicate themselves to worship. Today, only the abbey church remains, featuring some exquisite funerary monuments.
