Glencoe - The majestic valley and towering peaks of Glen Coe were sculpted long ago by glaciers and volcanic eruptions. This breathtakingly beautiful glen is still remembered for the tragic massacre of 1692, when the Clan MacDonald, who had hosted government soldiers for nearly two weeks, were killed by them. More details can be discovered at the Glencoe Visitor Centre.
Located within the Glencoe National Nature Reserve, the stunning landscapes of Glencoe have served as a backdrop for films such as Skyfall, Harry Potter and the Prisoner of Azkaban, and Monty Python and the Holy Grail.
Forth Bridge - Scotland’s Forth Bridges are a marvel of modern engineering and among Scotland’s most iconic landmarks. The oldest, The Forth Bridge, is a UNESCO World Heritage Site of exceptional global importance.
We cross the newest bridge, the Queensferry Crossing, which connects the historic towns of North and South Queensferry. Opened in 2017, this 1.7-mile (2.7 km) structure is the longest 3-tower, cable-stayed bridge in the world. Its “weatherproofing” design ensures minimal closures and restrictions due to weather conditions.
Tour Day 2 of up to 3 days exploring your chosen destinations
Loch Ness Region - Situated southwest of Inverness, Loch Ness is the deepest freshwater lake in the UK. It is surrounded by stunning scenery and is famous for the legend of the Loch Ness Monster, known as Nessie. We will visit Urquhart Castle and the Loch Ness Centre.
Stirling Castle - Regarded as one of Scotland’s most significant historic sites, the castle reached its peak in the 1500s. During the Wars of Independence with England (1296–1356), Stirling was fiercely contested and frequently changed hands. Notable battles nearby include Wallace’s victory at Stirling Bridge (1297) and Robert the Bruce’s triumph over Edward II at Bannockburn (1314). The Castle was favored by many of Scotland’s later medieval monarchs, each contributing to its impressive architecture.
Stirling Castle is a must-visit attraction, accessible either on the way to or from The Scottish Highlands, depending on your chosen route.
