Kicking off your off-the-beaten-path journey in the High Atlas Mountains, you’ll start with a light morning meal, followed by a photo opportunity at the lush, palm-filled oasis of Tamzargout. As we ascend further into the peaks, you’ll be spellbound by the stunning vistas of Paradise Valley. Our next stop will be Immouzer, a quaint Berber mountain settlement where you’ll observe the pace of life in such a community. On warm days, observe local youngsters diving off cliffs into the nearby natural ponds. As you wander around the village, you’ll come across shops offering Moroccan memorabilia and the coveted local honey. Jamal notes, ‘My mum used to create an artisanal sweet named “amlou”, crafted from Immouzer honey blended with pulverised almonds and argan oil, a genuine Berber gastronomic delight.’ Following this, we’ll serve up an open-air lunch using fresh, regionally harvested produce. There’s some free time for you to unwind and absorb your spectacular surroundings next. We’ll cap off the day with a return trip to Agadir taking a different mountain pathway.
