Sake Tasting Tour - Very interesting and informative tour. The tour guide knew a lot about sake and the traditions. We were able to taste many different and very different sakes.

Loved it - We had the sweetest lady as our guide and taught us so much about the sake making process. It was raining so you would think it would be a less then an enjoyable experience but it was the opposite!!

A Fantastic Beginners Guide to Sake - Entertaining and very informative tour of 7 distilleries with a great introduction and explanation to sake, the varities and tastes. Highlight being a visit to the Hakubotan Distillery founded in 1675 and been in the same family since. Their Junami Raw Sake excellent with slight sparkling bubbles. Lovely.

Exceeded our expectations ☺️ - Our tour guide was amazing! I was impressed by the hospitality and care we experienced at each stop. The drinks were great, but the dishes that came with it were beyond our expectations.👌🏼 We are very grateful for the experience and welcoming feeling from the establishments. Thank you so much, Levi for the great learning session and recommendations! 🙏🏼

Learned a lot, wonderful guide - We had an amazing tour through the breweries. Our guide, Ione, was such a lovely warm person. She was very knowledgable and enthusiastic both about the natural science components of brewing sake (e.g. the different fungies involved, the chemical processes etc) as well as the historical components. We were amazed how very different sake can taste depending on the refinement of the rice and the different types of koji and yeast. It was a lovely train ride to Sajio, seeing a bit of the Japanse lives outside of the big cities. If you have some room in your schedule, definitely take this tour! ps. I do recommend coming with a full stomach as the many sakes are adding up.

Great sake brewery tour - Yoshiko was great! Very friendly and was a great guide. We visited 7 sake breweries and tried different styles of sale at each. It felt a bit rushed, but otherwise was great! My feedback would be to maybe only visit 4-5 breweries and stay longer at each (trying different styles at each).

Comprehensive tour of Saijo sake breweries - Amazing sake tour 10/10. Our guide Masa is a sake sommelier and was so knowledgeable and we never felt rushed. Most breweries aren’t open to public on weekdays but with the tour we were able to visit all 7 breweries and try 9-10 types of sake. We were able to try a huge range of different styles of sake each with unique flavours and brewing processes. They provided us with a free sake glass each and one of the breweries gave us a free bottle too.
