Calm Waters and a Truly Relaxing Experience - The place had such good vibes — calm beach, clear water, and great weather - warm but not crazy hot. Our guide was super nice and really looked after everyone. Such a chill and memorable day! The ocean here just hits different — way calmer and more peaceful than the city.

Unforgettable trip - Amazing trip! Our guide was fun and really knew all the best spots — we saw so many beautiful places we’d never find on our own. The beachside lunch with fresh fish was the perfect ending. Highly recommend!

Interesting excursion - It was a very interesting and beautiful day out. The snorkeling was poor, although the staff and guide did their best. I was picked up at the hotel in Da Nang on time, all seats were filled. On the way we stopped for 20 minutes and were supposed to shop in a store. On the island of Cham we got a very good guide. Overall an experience because I am curious, but not because of the snorkeling.

Island visit and boat trip - The trip was okay, I enjoyed it. My only negatives: - being dropped off in that stupid store to shop for 1/2 hour, - too much time wasted between hotel pickup and actually getting on the boat. - only 1 hour of actually snorkelling in an eight hour trip.

Not bad - The guide was excellent. Boat trip a little cramped and snorkeling a little disappointing with some fish but hardly any coral. Lots of tourists. Kids had a good day swimming at the beach when we stopped for lunch

Decent experience - The majority of the experience felt chaotic. Pick up was smooth and food was great! Everything else was ok. At first you are assigned a tour guide, but then it changes depending on the language you speak. It would have been fine, but I felt lost half the time and the tour guides were not that attentive. I had to keep finding one to explain to me what I should expect or do next. Secondly, I’ll have to admit Vietnam is not known for snorkeling, therefore that bit was a bit disappointing. That is on me, I should have done some research. I recommend you save your money and just go to the beach in Hoi An.

Fun and semi hilarious day if you don't care about snorkeling. - We booked this last minute and traveled with my husband and two college aged sons. The transportation was all great, and our tour guide was from Cham Island and charming, but the itinerary was bizarre and ill-communicated. He gave us a tour of Cham Island (our family went on our own and met back up with the group). Then we went to a beach so that some of the Vietnamese tourists could get changed (this could have been communicated earlier so that this stop was unnecessary). We made it to the snorkeling area, were given really dated masks but alas the coral was dead and there was nothing to see. Then we went back to the second beach and ate lunch and then hung out at that beach for a while. This was an inexpensive tour and we had a good time, but definitely not what we expected.

Maybe next time will be better … - We were honestly so excited to visit Cham Island – had this vision of crystal clear water, vibrant fish, chill snorkeling vibes… but nope. The spot we were taken to had super murky water. Like, couldn’t-see-your-own-hands kind of murky. And just when we thought, “Okay, maybe it’ll still be fun,” we started getting bitten by sea lice. Tiny, stinging bites that came out of nowhere and made the whole thing really uncomfortable. No heads-up from the crew, no help after, just a lot of scratching and confusion. The island itself is pretty, and maybe other spots are better, but our tour felt rushed, chaotic, and honestly kind of a mess. If you’re planning a trip, maybe double-check where exactly they’re taking you to snorkel — and bring something for sea lice just in case 🙃
