- Attendees will be guided by the host, who will share insights into the history of Hoi An bamboo silk lanterns and the traditional calligraphy of Vietnam.
- Participants can craft lanterns in their preferred shapes, with options including diamond, garlic, lotus flowers, or UFO shapes.
- Once the lantern is completed, there will be a break to visit the art gallery section and select a design to paint on the lantern.
- Learning to paint on silk fabric is a unique experience, guided by our skilled master.
- After painting the lantern, it will be dried, illuminated, and photographed to capture special memories with the host and master.
- The lanterns created are foldable and conveniently fit into a bag for easy transport home.

After the painting class concludes, there will be a period to relax and enjoy tea before proceeding to a Lantern Making Class.
We will provide the bamboo that is necessary for your lamp’s structure and then it’s over to you. Your teacher will guide you through the entire lantern making process, right from the initial step to the final end product of Hoi An lantern. Choose your own colour pattern and design, courtesy of the attractive silk we provide.
When done, these lanterns can be easily folded, carried, or packed into your suitcase. It’s a unique, delightful, and personally crafted memento to take away and commemorate your Hoi An visit.
