Marble Mountain and Hoi An - This tour far exceeded our expectations. Our guide, Destiny, was very knowledgeable and friendly. We saw dragon bridge, marble factory and silk factory. Marble mountain portion was a little too long for our group. Lots of difficult stairs but a beautiful place. Hoi An was great. Great lunch and interesting location. We would have traded some Marble Mountain time for some shopping time in Hoi An. Our whole group would highly recommend this tour.

Exploring the best of Hoi An & Da Nang was made possible because we hired the safest driver and best guide! Tommy Dao! - We spent 1.5 days with Tommy Dao as our private driver and guide from Chan May Port, and the experience exceeded expectations. My husband and I planned our itinerary in advance and shared it with Tommy before arriving on Royal Caribbean's Spectrum of the Sea’s recent cruise. He reviewed it carefully and offered thoughtful suggestions that improved the flow and timing. From the moment we requested a quote to the moment we said goodbye, his care and attention stood out. This was a cruise port stop (Chan May), so timing mattered. Tommy understood this completely. He planned buffers, monitored traffic and crowds, and kept communication clear. We never felt rushed and we returned to the ship comfortably within schedule on both days. His car was clean, spacious, and comfortable. He drove with confidence and care and we always felt safe. He was consistently happy, positive, and kind. He looked after us exceptionally well and nothing felt like an inconvenience. Day one covered Marble Mountains, Am Phu Cave, Cam Thanh Coconut Village, and Hoi An. On the drive, Tommy stopped at a local oyster farming village and then took us to a simple local banh mi cart. This was my first authentic banh mi in Vietnam and it lived up to expectations. Fresh, local, and memorable. At Marble Mountains, he took us to a marble workshop before exploring the caves and pagodas. We bought a hand carved marble chess set for my husband’s birthday. Tommy helped us negotiate a fair price and made the process easy and relaxed. Cam Thanh Coconut Village was the highlight for our daughters. The basket boats were fun and calm. We skipped the spinning boats but enjoyed watching others. It was lively and entertaining without feeling rushed. In Hoi An, Tommy arranged a personal walking guide for two hours. This added strong value. She guided us through key temples and historical buildings, explained the ticket system clearly, and then gave us time to explore on our own. We visited another famous banh mi spot and enjoyed the town before the lantern crowds arrived. The lanterns, river boat ride, and evening atmosphere were beautiful. Day two was Ba Na Hills and the Golden Bridge. Tommy strongly advised arriving early and booking tickets online. We started early, which paid off. Those quieter hours before the tour buses arrived made a huge difference. We loved Ba Na Hills and would happily return with more time. Even with tighter timing on day two, Tommy managed everything calmly and ensured we returned to the ship with extra time to spare. Before boarding, he took us back to the oyster village for a final meal of fresh and barbecued oysters, Vietnamese pho and other favorites. This was the perfect way to end our time in Vietnam. I contacted four drivers through a Facebook group before choosing Tommy. He was not the cheapest and not the most expensive. He was the right choice. His English was excellent, which made communication easy. He handled tickets, food stops, and timing smoothly. He understood our priorities and delivered beyond what we expected. If you are booking a private driver or guide in Da Nang, Hoi An, or surrounding areas, I highly recommend Tommy Dao. He adapts to your plans, looks after you properly, and delivers a stress free experience from start to finish.

Exceptional service and tour - Absolutely brilliant! Tommy was a great guide who was not only really informative but just a really good guy to spend the day with! Right from the beginning he was brilliant...he was early and waiting for us, had a very nice car and both my mother and we felt very safe and secure. I cannot recommend enough.

Shore Excursion to Hoi An and Marble Mountain - We took an shore excursion with this tour company on January 10th to see Marble Mountain and Hoi An. Lam was our tour guide and was very knowledgable about the locations that we visited. We started by visiting a marble factory across the street from Marble Mountain, which is a tourist/temple site. A highlight was the luncheon in Hoi An where we ate in a restuarant that served local food in a traditiional vietnam setting with pork, beef and shrimp skewers, vegetables in a rice paper or egg pancake wrap. We also met the tour company owner at this location, which was nice. In Hoi An, we saw various temples and historical sites, along with ample shopping opportunities. Note that it is a 2 hour drive from Hoi An back to the Chan May Port so this is a full day tour. We left the ship at 9:30AM and returned 5:00PM. In summary, I would recommend this tour company for anyone interested.

Very reliable ship transfer excursion - Used Tommy Dao Tours for a return transfer from Chan May Port to Hoi An. Nice vehicle and Driver (Dong) was very reliable and friendly. Tommy Dao provided very clear instructions where to meet driver at Chan May port. Excellent reliably company to deal with and good communication. Really enjoyed our day in Hoi An and back in good time for the ship.

A perfect day - We can’t speak highly enough of our tour. Tommy was in contact with us before the day to ensure everything went smoothly. We had teenage daughters and my elderly mother with us. Tommy’s team were so thoughtful and caring to us all, especially mum who has limited mobility. The tour was fantastic. Our guide, Tien, was extremely knowledgeable and we all left our tour with a lot of information from the places visited on our itinerary. Our authentic Vietnamese lunch was delicious and we all agreed that this was a great inclusion in our day, along with the chance to meet Tommy in person. We arrived back at the port in plenty of time before our ship departed. Thankyou Tommy and Tien for such a memorable experience and for taking care of us so well.

Marble Mountains & Hoi An City - Fabulous trip, picked up from our boat which docked early but Tommy already knew this and was prepared and advised us. Our guide was amazing, very informative and advised us of Vietnamese culture, food and ways of life. Highly recommend using this company extremely professional and friendly.

Amazing!! - We picked the Marble mountain and Hoi An city tour. Everything went great, Tommy kept in contact throughtout to give us info on pick up location etc. On the day our amazing tour guide Anh greeted us at port. She was professional, friendly and very informative. The whole experience was amazing, Hoi An being our favourite and the delicious traditional Vietnamese lunch that was included. We only wish we had more time but were restricted due to it being a excursion from cruise ship!! Thanks!
