- Làng Cẩm Thanh - Experience Making Hội An Lanterns - The tour guide will pick up participants from their hotel at 8:30 a.m. and take them to the local market to choose the freshest local ingredients. Afterward, they will walk from the market to board a boat on the Thu Bon River. During the boat ride, participants can enjoy breathtaking river views and observe locals fishing or working on the river.
Next, participants will transfer from a wooden boat to a small Bamboo Basket Boat to explore the water coconut jungle, where the Viet Cong hid during the Vietnam - America war.
Upon arrival at the cooking school, participants can catch fish and crab in the river and the pond. They will then grind rice using a stone wheel to make rice flour in the traditional way. With handmade rice flour and the fresh ingredients purchased at the market, they are ready to cook! The menu includes Banh Xeo, Fried Noodles with seafood, Vermicelli with grilled pork, and Goi Cuon Tom, or prawn spring rolls. Each dish is demonstrated by a master chef first, then participants will replicate it at their individual cooking stations to create their own delicious Vietnamese appetizers. They will then move on to the next appetizer or main dish.
Participants will enjoy a lunch with the dishes they have prepared. The tour concludes with a return to their hotel.
