- Hoi An Ancient Town - Hoi An, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is situated along the Thu Bon River. This Ancient Town has preserved its charm for centuries and once served as an international trading port for the Champa Kingdom, dealing in wood, gold, and silk. During its peak, trade fairs attracted merchants from Holland, Portugal, China, and Japan. However, as the Thu Bon River became too shallow, the port was relocated to Danang around the 18th century.
The journey to Hoi An takes approximately one hour. Upon arrival, enjoy a delightful local lunch. Following lunch, embark on a pleasant walking tour of this picturesque town. Your guide will introduce you to the Japanese Bridge, sharing the history of this renowned landmark. You’ll also visit a traditional house, a Chinese Assembly Hall, and a cultural and historical museum. There will be time to explore the town, purchase souvenirs, or acquire some of the beautiful paintings for which Hoi An is renowned.
