A must do if in Hoi An - We booked this trip through our hostel and were so greatful we did. It was a fabulous way to explore the local markets and actually cook the food yourself with the lovely help of the local guide/chef We did the afternoon tour and visited the markets at lunch, then headed for our hilarious trip on the coconut boats. We even got a chance to practice throwing in the net to catch crabs. Afterwards you are then brought back to Mr Cu’s house where everything is laid out for you to begin cooking. Our group had a very mixed dietary requirements and they managed to accommodate everyone. One was a meat eater, three were veggie, with one who doesn’t like tofu and one who ate fish. We made a variety of dishes with the help of our guide, who took many videos of us throughout the experience. We sat down to eat our meal we cooked ourselves and received a printed recipe afterwards so we could cook it ourselves when we got home. I cannot recommend this experience enough. It is a perfect way to get immersed in Vietnamese culture and work with the local community of Hoi An.

Amazing cooking class- a must do - We did the cooking class with Han, it was AMAZING! We’ve done loads of cool things in Vietnam and this was the most fun. Han was very knowledgeable but also very entertaining and made sure the whole group enjoyed themselves. The company were also kind enough to arrange a walking tour of Hoi an for us at late notice. Thanks so much!

Mr Cu and his team - We ended up having the tour to ourselves. The markets was not appealing in the heat of the afternoon, however, we loved the boat, fishing and cooking. A great afternoon

A fun morning - especially loved the cooking class. - Fun morning just a short drive from Hoi An City. We booked a private tour and were picked up by Mr Cu the owner of the company and his assistant Hu. Both were wonderful. The morning started with a visit to an organic farm with demonstrations (which we were then invited to participate in). This was followed by a basket boat ride down the river - fun but very touristy. We ended up at Mr Cu’s cooking school adjoining his house where we made 4 dishes and then ate the fruits of our labors (with plenty more being served along side). Mr Cu mentioned on the drive home that he supports a local charity for the disabled and employs 2 people at the cooking school. All in all we would recommend. It was very hot and I would recommend wearing cool comfortable clothing and taking a hat and a fan. Water was provided along with a small snack before taking the basket boat trip.

Great fun, food, and people. - We did the cooking class where you are shown round the local market by the chef to find the ingredients, taken out on the bamboo boats, and then learn to cook some amazing dishes. We all sat down had the feast afterwards. The people here are wonderful, very friendly and knowledgeable. Would absolutely recommend, and great value for a half day experience.

Food lovers experience - We booked this tour with the hotel. Mr. Cu was a great host, excellent English and nothing was a problem. The cooking class was the highlight. We made spring rolls, pancakes, stir fry and papaya salad. The recipes were amazing- quick and easy and there was more than enough food. They catered for allergens. The chef was very knowledgeable. We would book this tour again. Highly recommended for food lovers ❤️😋🙏
