A magical day! - Our Semi-Gobi trip was wonderful from the moment we were picked up at our hotel. Our incredible guide, Urtaa, & expert driver, Tseegii, were more than we could have imagined. Thank you to NGA Tour Bureau!
The absolute highlight was meeting the three other travelers who joined our adventure!
We welcomed the long drive as we took in new landscapes and villages, and somehow the journey felt surprisingly short. Urtaa kept us fueled with delicious local pastries, coffee, snacks, lunch, and plenty of water throughout the drive. He even taught us the Mongolian shagai game while surprising us with gifts.
Arriving at our western destination we met our Bactrian camel “parent” & visited a local family’s ger. Without the wonderful photos & videos taken by Urtaa & Tseegi, we might have missed our own hilarious camel mounts and the jolt when the camels suddenly extended their knees! Holy smokes!
We’d heard about the traffic but didn’t quite comprehend it until driving back to UB on a 2-lane road. Tseegii was extraordinary while passing cars on the left while driving a right-hand-drive vehicle. Thank you for getting us back safely!

You should definitely go. - It was a tour with other Japanese people, and I really enjoyed it. The long travel time is a major obstacle, but I felt it was a tour that I should participate in. There were also some happenings, such as getting stuck in traffic and having a flat tire, but the guides and their companions were cheerful and that time was a very important one! If you are in doubt, I think you should participate ✨
Sunglasses and hats are essential as the wind and sand will be all over your body.

What every trip should be about! - The day started with an on-time pickup and the warmest welcome from our tour guide, Urtaa. From the very beginning, we were clearly guided through what to expect at each step, which made everything feel seamless and relaxed. Snacks and water were thoughtfully provided for the journey, and our driver was incredibly accommodating—together, he and Urtaa made the perfect team.
There was so much fun and laughter throughout the day. Our group of five turned out to be such a special mix of people—we connected instantly, shared stories, and that really added something memorable to the experience.
Everything about the day felt just right: the breathtaking views, well-timed scenic stops, peaceful and smooth camel ride, and even the little games we played along the way. The food selection was great, and we were lucky enough to have the most beautiful weather on top of it all.
It honestly felt magical. A huge thank you to Urtaa and our fellow travelers for making it such a warm and unforgettable experience. It’s rare, in my experience, to feel that level of friendliness and connection with a group you’ve just met.
I highly recommend this tour—and if you’re lucky, you’ll get to experience it with Urtaa and his amazing driver too.

💯 Amazing! Great guides! ❤️ - Absolutely 💯 amazing trip. Our guides were fun and informative. We had a long trip to the desert, but they made it fun and we stopped for coffee and bathroom breaks regularly. We learned a fun game including knuckle bones. I found it at the airport so I have my own. Loved it!

I love the kindness of the guides. - Our guide, Olker, and our driver, Kana, were very kind and it was a great trip. They teach me a lot about Mongolia in English, so I enjoyed the beautiful nature along the way.
Thank you very much. It was cold in Mongolia in winter, but I'm glad it was a full day tour.

Wonderful tour, prompt guides and immersive experience! - Wonderful tour, prompt guides and immersive experience! Loved the camel riding, and seeing the nomad way of life. My guide was super informative, and provided me advice and assistance with other parts of my trip! Given the distance, it do take a considerable time to get to the location, however, I was provided with snacks and entertainment throughout, as well as stunning views the entire journey.

We could enjoy the desert... - We could enjoy the desert just in a day from Ulanbataar. Although we spent most of the time on the road, we could appriciate the scenary all the way. Such a nice road trip.
