Knowledgeable , friendly tour guide and staff , family business
Wonderful guide. Loved watching the production. As an adult I loved the ethics of Herr’s Company. Our guide also said it was a great place to work.
We drove to Nottingham, PA from the Philadelphia area. Had lunch at the Nottingham Inn - there was a fire going in the fireplace and we were lucky to be sitting next to it. Bellies full now it's time for our Herr's tour. Our tour was scheduled for 2:00 pm - but we had finished lunch early so we were able to get on the 1:00 pm tour. Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and answered all our questions. Near the end of the tour you were given the opportunity to eat a handful or two of warm chips right from the assembly line. They were tasty - warm and fresh. At the end of the tour you could buy chips/pretzels/popcorn/etc. at a reduced price - they even had an OOPS section where the product was half-priced. I enjoyed myself as did the other 3 people in my group.
I wrote a yelp review as well. But, we had a wonderful time . Don was great and the workers packing bags ups chips in a box were waving and engaging with us which was nice.
Excellent tour guide. Tour was extremely enjoyable for all ages.

Tour guide had excellent knowledge base
My grandchildren really enjoyed the tour. Thank you!
We have lived on 30 min from Herrs for 40 years and never came. My hasband has ALS and this was on his list of things to do with the grandkids. It was good for all ages from our 6 yr old tonis at 61 and even handicap accessible which was great! Thanks!
Lots of fun and very exciting educational! !! Loved it!!
Last time we were there was with our kids some 25 years ago. Anyway just brought the grandkids and had a great time.
Our tour guide Jessica was amazing!!!!
It’s a simple tour with great information about the products. Can’t believe how many potatoes arrive daily. Nice gift shop after the tour. Great fun for the family with a very low admission fee.
It is such a family oriented place, me and my kiddos really enjoyed our time, and learning!
Great interactive activity to do with my 4 year old. Our tour guide handled all the small children wonderfully and was patient to answer all the questions.
We had taken the tour 20 or so years ago - as chaperones with our children's Kindercare class. We/they enjoyed it a lot. One of the highlights form them was Chipper, your mascot. The preview film featured him a good bit, and they kids liked it a lot. We decided to bring our 6 year old granddaughter for the tour, telling her about our visit with her father. She/we were a bit disappointed by the intro video being geared for adults - unfortunately, it lost her attention rather quickly. The tour itself was good, but since it was a holiday - President's Day - there was very little running. We all still had a good time. Jen, our guide, was terrific - but we didn't enjoy it through our 6 year old's eyes like we did on our trip so long ago. Had a nice lunch in the cafe and got lots of goodies in the gift shop. We were amazed to see Jen multi tasking as guide, ringing us up in the gift shop - and working the cafe! I guess, our disappointment was losing the child's "magic" aspect - which we remember from Chipper.
The children were a little bored but as an adult I found the history interesting. At times it was hard to hear tour guide
The main potato chip machines were down, so it was a bit disappointing.
The tour was fun and very informative! Everyone was very. Professional and courteous! My grandchildren had a wonderful time!
The whole experience, from the historical video at the beginning to the free samples at the end, was wonderful, and all of the Herr's employees were extremely pleasant and informative! My two granddaughters (Age 12) were especially impressed with how the pretzels are made. They also enjoyed watching the dough being made, conveyed, cut/shaped, baked, seasoned, weighed, bagged, boxed, and placed into the storage piles. When my grandson is old enough to appreciate the factory tour, we will be back. Thank you for a very enjoyable day!
We were not informed beforehand about the potato chip line not operating.
The tour was a lot of fun! Our tour guide was very knowledgeable and she was very patient with us. We kept interrupting her with our many questions and she never failed to wait with a smile and then proceeded to answer our question. Our group had a lot of fun and it was fascinating to see how a variety of snacks are made. Our group consisted children and adults so this was a fun tour for all ages. We highly recommend this tour.
