• Hermanus Waterfront - On this full-day whale watching tour, participants will be collected from their Cape Town accommodations and travel in a comfortable, air-conditioned vehicle along the picturesque coastline to Hermanus. En route, there will be chances to admire ocean views and capture photos.

Upon arrival in Hermanus, participants will visit one of the premier land-based whale watching spots globally. They will stroll along the renowned cliff paths and viewpoints, where whales are frequently spotted near the shore during whale season. The guide will provide insights into whale behavior, migration patterns, and the local marine ecosystem.

Participants will have leisure time to explore the town at their own pace, enjoy a meal at a seaside restaurant, browse local markets, or relax by the ocean. For those interested, an optional boat-based whale watching experience is available at an extra cost and can be arranged locally.

Boat-Based Whale Watching
The whale watching adventure starts with an on-land briefing conducted by our expert whale guide before proceeding to the catamaran at the jetty. Departing from the Hermanus New Harbour, the journey begins in search of the ‘gentle giants.’ The specially designed catamaran offers excellent viewing and comfort throughout the tour, with the friendly and knowledgeable crew adding a personal touch for a truly memorable experience. The Whale Specialist guide will explain the marine life encountered along the way and provide insights into whale behavior as they are observed in action. Our videographer will ensure the best moments are captured on film.
