• Hermanus Cliff Path - Proceed with a scenic 20-minute drive to Hermanus, renowned as one of the top whale watching locations globally. Explore cliffside paths to witness the breathtaking displays of whales migrating to these warm waters during whale season (typically from June to November).
• Southern Right Charters - Here, you have the option to embark on a 2-hour whale watching cruise (at your own expense) for a chance to see these gentle giants. While sightings are not guaranteed, the excitement of spotting a water spout amidst the waves is always present.
• Stony Point Penguin Colony - After enjoying lunch (at your own expense) in Hermanus, head back towards Cape Town with a stop at Stony Point Nature Reserve, home to one of only two breeding colonies of the endangered African penguin worldwide. Witness up to 5,000 of these charming, flightless birds.
• Clarence Drive Outlook Point - Return to Cape Town via the scenic Clarence Drive, with its dramatic, rugged coastline, and try to catch a final glimpse of playful whales against the pink and amber sunset. Arrival at your hotel is expected around 5pm.
