Really easy. For cruise... - Really easy. For cruise passengers turn right out of the customs hall and the bus stop is there. Show the bar code to the driver, then grab a seat.

Efi and her wonderful help - Efi with Hop On Hop Off buses was incredibly helpful and went out of her way. I'm in an electric wheelchair and would not have been able to navigate the city or the bus system without her help. She told me which of the buses had ramps and gave me times & which color to look for, and where they were going. And at the end of our roaming around town, she continued helping us out even though she had gone home for the day. She definitely went above and beyond her job for me. She is a wonderful employee, and Hop On Hop Off should feel lucky to have her working with them.

Great experience & value!! - This was a great way to see so many different sites! We rarely waited long before a bus showed up. So great to just sit & site see while someone else worried about the traffic!!

Worth taking! - Very easy access from the port! All of the stops are well marked. The bus map matches all of the stops & the audio was interesting.

Recommended - Good value, but can be very busy. Buses run often. A good way to get to Knosses Palace from the cruise port. I would recommend this for cruise ship passengers.

Finding the bus stops was difficult - Finding where to meet the bus was difficult. I couldn't find that information in the confirmation/tickets, so I emailed them directly. Someone answered within 24 hours to look for the signs -- but finding the signs in Heraklion wasn't simple. Our hotel finally suggested we try the historical port area, and we finally found a free-standing sign where we waited for maybe 10 minutes for a bus to arrive. Once on the bus, the audio tour was fine -- our location didn't always match the history being told -- and there was a lot of just music playing without anyone giving history. But it helped us learn the city and got us out to the Knossos Palace, which was really interesting. So overall, I'd say it was worth doing.

Nice tour, not much to see - Helpful staff, well appointed buses, always on time. €20 per head for a day reasonable value. Tours provide a nice overview of Heraklion. Outside of time by the sea and isolated highlights enroute there is little to see around the city via bus. One big plus the fare saves €15 on the normal entrance to the dreadful Knossos.

Ok way to get around, but could be improved - It's ok and a good way to get to Knossos Palace, but if you don't mind a bit of walking then most of the visit highlights are within walking distance. Depends how energetic your feeling, how long you're staying in Heraklion, and how hot it is when you visit. The fact that you get 2 days for the price of one is a bonus, and the buses keep to the timetable pretty well. At the time of our visit - October, outside of school holiday times - there was no problem with buses being too busy. Best way to improve this tour would be to have more commentary - there wasn't much as you go around, and no insights beyond what you could get off of Google or Wikipedia.

Save your money - We went on this tour which was an absolute disappointment costing us 50 euros for the two of us, I know it states hop on hop off but we were worried about catching one back as there seemed to be delays with timings, We being naive thought there would be opportunities to take photos, 'not', just being driven through heavy congested traffic. Also when the audio says on the right you will see ? and you are sat on the left so you don't see. All in all I wasted what I could have given to charity,
