Crete the Best - This is my favourite Greek island. You have the beautiful beaches outside Hania. The nightlife. Then you have the tranquility of the mountain villages. Also you have the east side of the island which is rich in history. Great excursions on boats. Great food which is different than other parts of Greece. Friendly proud people here on Crete. I shall return. Best spot in the world with so much to see and do for all ages. Plus the best weather Sunny warm and dry every day in the summer !

Picturesque, fab experience, expensive - Wonderful experience, 100% worth a visit! It is very crowded, great photo opportunities. It is pricey, Thira is the cheaper place of the 2… The high speed ferry can be hit & miss. Outbound for our experience was calm, inbound very rough, highs seas and lots of boat rocking. Don’t let this put you off tho.

Okay for a mass group day trip, but not great if you want to have a meaningful experience on the island - So, if you want pictures in Santorini, or to kind of “check the box” of being able to say that you went there, this tour is a good option. The boat ride was fairly quick. The seats are assigned but you do not get the choice to pick your own seat. It seemed like they tried to seat us together, but it didn’t work out on the way back. The meeting point is described as Heraklion passenger terminal, but no one actually meets you there. After rereading the initial message a couple times we figured out we needed to board SeaJet- which is good because no one answered our call, email, or WhatsApp communication until hours after our boat had left. Both the bus and boat trip have a lot of announcements trying to upsell you on the extra 20 euros to take a boat ride to the volcano. On the boat it was fine, on the bus I would strongly have preferred that they give some actual information during that time. The time in each area felt rushed and it was very busy because it is several buses dropping people off all at once in very small villages with narrow passageways. Overall, I would not say this is a great way to enjoy a trip to Santorini- but if all you want is to be able to say you saw it, it gets the job done. I would not do it again, but I did get some pretty pictures. If you decide to do it definitely come prepared for very long travel times in large group situations.

Day trip to Santorini - Long day 6.30am start - got back to hotel in hersonissis at 8.30 pm - there is no doubt that Santorini is stunningly Beautiful but it is a manic trip - visited 2 towns on organised trip both were extremely busy to the point of being tiresome

Mediocre - choose someone else, or just book everything yourself! - Pros: Chris (bus 2) - was very nice, funny and knowledgable. Cons: The tour felt VERY rushed! The value for money was quite poor No inductions given - I had to look at reviews to see which/where the bus was after the port!

Sad - Like all beautiful places in the world sadly Santorini is overrun with tourists ,, so the day trip is just long enough to battle the crowds and catch a glimpse of an Island struggling to breath. What was Santorini like before tourists it would be wonderful to have learnt about a unique way of life, it must be awful to be a permanent resident today watching the growth of dirty litter and people.

Would do differently next time - Ok tour, basically the cost covered the price of the ferry tickets for that day and we only had the day to see Santorini. It was fine, but got back exhausted and hungry. It's a quick, rushed, run through the island. It is hard to see the cities when there are a dozen other tour busses of people at the same spot, in the se tiny streets. Maybe 1-2 hours each, not really time to wait in lines for pics, see the sites, appreciate and sit down for food, or shop, nice shops. The boat tour was an additional $20 euro not $16 as mentioned. The ferry was nice but filled mostly with people on this tour. Be prepared for massive lines, mobs, crowds to get on and off, which they herd people through quite quickly. Next time, we would have opted to take the ferry at a less crowded time and stay on the island so we could be there without this tour influx.

Not according to the tour description!! Very misleading! - We paid $443 for 2 adults. There were other similar tours for $360 and up. The description of the tour and texts with the tour company led me to believe that we were going to Santorini on a smaller 50 person sailing catamaran, but ended up on the huge ferry that holds about 2,200 people. The description said that, and I quote, "taking a refreshing swim at a black sand beach." We only went to the 2 listed villages. We lost our expert guide for the last couple of hours as he was leading the boat tour to the volcanic island which would have cost extra. A total rip off!!!

Terrible thing. - You will be served a breathtaking day. The reality is unfortunately different. The day lasts 16 hours. Of which you spend 11 hours in a bus or on a boat that has no air conditioning against the agreement. Rows by the bus, by the boat on the boat and then off the boat. You are dumped with 17000 other tourists in what should be the most beautiful spot on the island. Line up to take a picture. Walking is hardly there. Neither is the view. On to the volcano island where you are promised a tropical natural spa after all the heat waiting etc. Oh yes if you want to pay 20 euros p.p. They didn't say in advance. We take a ramshackle boat to the other side of the harbor. Where I think one by one we are thrown into the brackish water. And be erased after 15 minutes. Back on the ferry 2.5 hours later back on the bus. Back broken and disillusioned. The highlights will undoubtedly be beautiful. If you can see them. However, we have seen a barren, dirty island flooded with tourists and cranky agents who have to regulate traffic. And mainly stuck in the traffic jam of coaches. Once and for all. Such a waste of an expensive trip.
