A Day to Remember

After the tour, we spent some time exploring the rest of the ranch. We watched the volunteers feed the colorful parrots and marveled at the tortoises as they leisurely roamed their enclosures. The kids were particularly fascinated by the emus and ostriches, creatures they had only seen in books before.

We ended our visit by sitting on a bench outside the lion enclosure, enjoying some snacks while watching Winston play with an emu egg during his enrichment session. It was a peaceful moment of reflection, surrounded by the sounds of nature and the gentle rustling of the animals.

As we reluctantly left the ranch, I couldn’t help but feel grateful for the experience. It was a day filled with learning, laughter, and a deeper appreciation for the incredible creatures we share our planet with.
