Reykjavik - Begin your day with a pick-up by your guide between 8:30 and 9:00 AM!
Hvalfjörður - Enjoy a picturesque drive along Whale Fjord before arriving at the first destination.
Borgarnes - After a scenic journey, the bus pauses for a brief stop in Borgarnes, a charming town situated on a small peninsula.
Ytri Tunga Beach - A short drive from Borgarnes unveils the true enchantment of Snæfellsnes Peninsula. Ytri Tunga is a delightful farm with a nearby beach home to a seal colony, ideal for animal enthusiasts!
Budakirkja - The Búðakirkjan Black Church is often regarded as Iceland’s most beautiful church.
Arnarstapi - A natural harbor surrounded by breathtaking landscapes. The coastline is adorned with stunning rock formations, covered in green-and-yellow moss. Visitors can stroll along the cliffs, capture perfect photos, or simply soak in the ambiance of this remote fishing village.
Londrangar Basalt Cliffs - Here, two basalt columns mark the coast, visible even from the road. This is another excellent stop for animal lovers, as the cliffs are home to numerous bird species, filling the air with their calls.
Djupalonssandur Beach - A magnificent black beach within the boundaries of Snæfellsjökull National Park. While walking along the black sand, visitors can discover four large lifting stones, historically used to test the strength of local fishermen.
Snaefellsjokull National Park - To reach the peninsula’s northern part, the tour circles the Snæfellsjökull Strato-Volcano, one of Iceland’s most powerful (though currently inactive) volcanoes, topped with a glacier cap.
Kirkjufell Mountain - Kirkjufell (Church Mountain) and Kirkjufoss (Church Waterfall) are among Iceland’s most iconic and photogenic locations. They gained international fame after appearing in numerous Hollywood and TV productions, including Game of Thrones.
Borgarnes - Day 1 concludes in Borgarnes, the capital of West Iceland, located on a small peninsula in the City Fjord. Known for its Saga Exhibition and breathtaking views of mountains rising above the sea, it is an ideal spot to witness the Northern Lights during the season.
Silver Circle and Lava Caving
Hraunfossar - Next, marvel at Hraunfossar, a series of waterfalls formed by rivulets streaming over approximately 900 meters (almost 300 feet) across the Hallmundarhraun lava field, originating from a volcanic eruption beneath the Langjökull glacier. The waterfalls cascade into the Hvítá River from ledges created by less porous rock in the lava.
Barnafoss - Just a stone’s throw upstream from Hraunfossar, visit another waterfall called Barnafoss. Its name, “the waterfall of the children,” stems from a tragic accident in a past century. A natural stone bridge once spanned the waterfall, and two children from a nearby farm tragically fell to their deaths while crossing it. In her grief, their mother had the bridge destroyed.
Deildartunguhver - Finally, experience Deildartunguhver, the highest-flow hot spring in Europe.
Sturlureykir Horses/Visiting Horse Farm - Delight in an unforgettable visit to the Sturlureykir Icelandic horse farm. Get up close to these beautiful, friendly animals and savor homemade “hot spring bread,” known as rugbraud in Icelandic, accompanied by a nice cup of coffee or ice-cold water.
