• Skogafoss - Skógafoss is one of Iceland’s most beautiful waterfalls, famous for its impressive 25-meter width and 60-meter height.

A staircase leads to a viewing platform above the falls, providing stunning views of the south coast, the Eyjafjallajökull glacier, and the cascading Skógafoss itself. Whether admired from below or from the top, this iconic waterfall is a must-see for nature enthusiasts.

• Solheimajokull Glacier - Sólheimajökull is a glacier tongue, an extension of the main Mýrdalsjökull glacier.

Walk towards Sólheimajökull through the valley it has carved out of the landscape and along the glacier river it forms at its base. The valley is a fascinating mix of rocks, gravel, and sand, ground down by the glacier as it moved over the land.

The glacier is unique, striped with layers of ash between seasonal layers of ice, and surrounded by several active volcanic stations.

• Reynisfjara Beach - Reynisfjara, or the Black Sand Beach, is a true natural wonder. The site features stunning basalt columns, a natural arch visible from a distance, troll-like sea stacks, and during summer, thousands of puffins that inhabit the cliffs of the Black Sand Beach.

Enjoy both sightseeing and a lunch break here. On-site amenities include restrooms and a café/restaurant.

• Vik - Make a brief photo stop at the picturesque village of Vík. Visit the town’s church where the troll-like basalt stacks and the village create the perfect backdrop for a selfie.

On the return to the city, listen to stories about the trolls in the rocks and the elves before arriving back in Reykjavik around 6:00 PM.

• Seljalandsfoss - Seljalandsfoss is one of Iceland’s most famous waterfalls, known for its unique path that allows visitors to walk behind the cascading water—be ready to get a little wet! With a 65-meter drop, the waterfall is part of the Seljalandsá River, originating from the Eyjafjallajökull glacier. This glacier gained worldwide attention in 2010 when its volcanic eruption disrupted transatlantic flights.
