Pyramids of Giza - Begin an epic day by visiting the Giza Plateau, home to the Great Pyramids of Giza: Cheops, Mycerinus, and Chephren, built during the Fourth Dynasty (around 2690 BC). It is the only remaining wonder of the Seven Wonders of the Ancient World. Enjoy the chance to enter one of these legendary structures and admire the massive stones used in their construction (extra ticket required). Then, view the Great Sphinx with the pyramids as a backdrop, a scene that has inspired adventurers for centuries.

Saqqara (Sakkara) Pyramids - Visit Sakkara, located just 27 km southwest of Cairo. Explore the Step Pyramid at Sakkara (built for King Zoser), an important milestone in the evolution of pyramid construction, transitioning from the simple mastaba to the well-known pyramidal shape. This pyramid is recognized as the first stone construction ever built by the brilliant Vizier Imhotep.

Mit Rahina Museum - Visit Memphis City, the ancient capital of Egypt, where the colossal statue of Ramses II and the great Alabaster Sphinx are located. This city dates back to 3100 B.C. See the magnificent statue of King Ramses II, the largest man-made statue for a king, and also visit the Alabaster Statue of Queen Hatshepsut. Return to the hotel afterward. Overnight in Cairo.

The Museum of Egyptian Antiquities - Visit the fascinating Egyptian Museum, which showcases artifacts from the Pharaonic period. The museum houses a rare collection of 5,000 years of art, considered the largest and most valuable collection of Egyptian art in the world. Over 120,000 remarkable artifacts are displayed, including gold and jewelry that were sealed in a tomb for over 3,500 years before being discovered in the 1920s during the tomb’s excavation.

Coptic Cairo - Explore Coptic Cairo, known as Old Cairo, within the boundaries of the Roman fortress of Babylon, where the Copts built their churches for protection. For three hundred years, from the conversion of Emperor Constantine until the arrival of Islam, Egypt was a Christian nation, and the Coptic church is one of the oldest communions, pioneering austere monasticism in the remote desert. Tens of thousands of Copts still reside in Egypt, many in Old Cairo. Their most famous church is El Muallaqa, the Hanging Church, built over one of the gateways into the old fortress, with its nave suspended above the passageway. Also in Old Cairo is the Saints Sergius Church, which houses the Crypt where the Holy Family sought refuge during their flight to Egypt.

Khan Al-Khalili - Visit the historic Khan el-Khalili Bazaar in Cairo, a major souk in the heart of Islamic Cairo. The bazaar district is a key attraction for both tourists and locals.

An English-speaking driver will meet and assist travelers at Istanbul Airport and then escort them to the hotel. Check into the room and enjoy a free afternoon to explore Istanbul. Full Day Istanbul City Tour: Blue Mosque, Hagia Sophia & Topkapi Palace

Blue Mosque - The Mosque of Sultan Ahmed, also known as The Blue Mosque (Sultanahmet Camii in Turkish), is one of the most majestic Ottoman mosques in Turkey, located in the Sultanahmet area of Istanbul. It is the only mosque in Istanbul with six minarets. Built between 1609 and 1616 A.D. during Sultan Ahmed I’s reign, the mosque was designed by Architect Mehmet Ağa, under Sultan Ahmet I’s instruction. The mosque follows traditional Islamic architectural style, comprising a mausoleum, madrasa (school), and a hospice. It remains active for daily and Friday congregational prayers and is a popular tourist attraction in Istanbul.

Hagia Sophia Mosque - The Old World Wonder in Turkey, Hagia Sophia, known as the Church of Divine Wisdom, has undergone major identity transformations, from a church to a mosque. It stands as a testament to Turkey’s diverse identity.

Topkapi Palace - Built on a commanding point along the Bosphorus after Istanbul’s conquest, the palace is situated at the tip of the historic peninsula. It served as state headquarters and the sultans’ residence until the 19th century during the Ottoman reign. Topkapi Palace was opened to the public as a museum after the Republic’s declaration. Spanning 700,000 square meters, the palace offers visitors a vast collection of over 80,000 artworks, along with temporary exhibits.

Morning Bosphorus Cruise - Spice Market

Bosphorus - After breakfast at the hotel, the driver will pick up guests for a short drive to the Eminonu Pier, where they will embark on a 1.5-hour breathtaking cruise along the Bosphorus Strait, which runs through Istanbul and between the continents of Asia and Europe. An expert local guide will explain the various Ottoman palaces, ancient fortresses, suspension bridges, and wealthy shore villages with typical Ottoman architecture visible along the shore.

Misir Carsisi (Spice Market) - Visit the colorful Spice Market from the 17th century, where visitors can smell and taste various herbs and Turkish delights. If time permits, there will be a short stop at an Istanbul leather wholesaler.

Istanbul Final Departure - Fly Back Home
