Explore The Pyramids of Giza & Sphinx, Saqqara, Dahshur
Pyramids of Giza - The Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx are not only top attractions in Egypt but are also must-see ancient monuments. The Great Pyramids of Giza and the Sphinx are perhaps the most renowned ancient sites globally and the only remaining wonders of the Ancient Seven Wonders of the World. A visit to Egypt is incomplete without seeing the Pyramids of Giza. Even if you have visited Egypt multiple times, the Pyramids and the Sphinx at the base of the Giza plateau are iconic images of Egypt. Don’t forget to capture a photo in front of the Pyramids and Sphinx.
Saqqara (Sakkara) Pyramids - The most prominent feature of Saqqara is the Step Pyramid, the tomb of the Third Dynasty ruler Djoser, constructed by Imhotep. It is considered the earliest major stone structure in Egypt. The pyramid’s form evolved from the large mastabas (mud-brick tombs) of the First and Second Dynasties, with six steps, each smaller than the one below, created by adding successive layers of masonry and enlarging the lower stages.
The Step Pyramid stands 60 meters high and is built from locally quarried clay sandstone of poor quality. Entry into the pyramid is no longer permitted due to safety concerns. The interior chambers and passages were used partly for the burial of the King’s close relatives (particularly sons who died in childhood) and partly for storing grave goods for the deceased.
Pyramids of Dahshur - Home to over four different pyramids, the pyramid field of Dahshur is a remarkable site. The Bent Pyramid, with its unique angles, is one of a kind, while the Red Pyramid is Egypt’s first true smooth-sided pyramid and is accessible for entry.
Discover Giza and Cairo: The Grand Egyptian Museum & The Citadel & Bazaar
Grand Egyptian Museum - Located just steps from the Pyramids of Giza, the Grand Egyptian Museum is one of the largest and most impressive archaeological museums worldwide. It features over 100,000 artifacts spanning Egypt’s history from prehistoric times to the Greco-Roman era.
The museum’s highlight is the complete collection of Tutankhamun, displayed together for the first time. Visitors can also admire colossal statues, royal mummies, intricate jewelry, and beautifully carved reliefs. The modern architecture, glass façade, and Grand Staircase offer a stunning setting with panoramic pyramid views.
Cairo Citadel - The Saladin Citadel of Cairo is a medieval Islamic fortification located on Mokattam Hill near Cairo’s center. Once famous for its fresh breeze and grand city views, it is now a preserved historic site.
Khan Al-Khalili - Khan el-Khalili is a major souk in the historic center of Islamic Cairo. The bazaar district is a main attraction for both tourists and Egyptians.
Cruise Down The Nile From Luxor - Visit The Temples of Karnak & Luxor
Temple of Karnak - Karnak Temple is a vast temple complex in Luxor, primarily dedicated to Amun, dating back to as early as 2000 BC. It is an impressive sight, second only to the Great Pyramids in popularity.
Luxor Temple - Luxor Temple is a large Ancient Egyptian temple complex on the east bank of the Nile River in Luxor, constructed around 1400 BCE. In the Egyptian language, it is known as ipet resyt, “the southern sanctuary.”
Discover The Valley of The Kings & Temple of Queen Hatshepsut & Memnon
Valley of the Kings - Visit three tombs: The Valley of the Kings, also known as the Valley of the Gates of the Kings, is a valley in Egypt located on the west bank of the Nile, opposite Thebes, within the heart of the Theban Necropolis. The wadi consists of two valleys, East Valley and West Valley.
Temple of Hatshepsut at Deir el Bahari - The Mortuary Temple of Hatshepsut was built for the Eighteenth Dynasty pharaoh Hatshepsut. It is located beneath the cliffs at Deir el-Bahari on the west bank of the Nile near the Valley of the Kings.
Colossi of Memnon - The Colossi of Memnon are two massive stone statues of Pharaoh Amenhotep III, who reigned during the Eighteenth Dynasty. For the past 3,400 years, they have stood in the Theban Necropolis, west of the River Nile from modern Luxor.
Temples of The Nile - Edfu & Kom Ombo
Temple of Horus - This Ptolemaic temple, built between 237 and 57 BC, is one of the best-preserved ancient monuments in Egypt. Preserved by desert sand after the pagan cult was banned, the temple is dedicated to Horus, the avenging son of Isis and Osiris. With its roof intact, it is also one of the most atmospheric ancient buildings.
Temple of Kom Ombo - The Temple of Kom Ombo is an unusual double temple in the town of Kom Ombo in Aswan Governorate, Upper Egypt. Constructed during the Ptolemaic dynasty, 180–47 BC, the southern half of the temple was dedicated to the crocodile god Sobek, god of fertility and creator of the world with Hathor and Khonsu.
Explore The Temple of Abu Simbel
Abu Simbel Temple Complex - The Abu Simbel temples are two massive rock temples in Abu Simbel, a village in Nubia, Upper Egypt, near the Sudan border. They are situated on the western bank of Lake Nasser, about 230 km southwest of Aswan.
Aswan Visit Philae Island & Unfinished Obelisk, From Aswan to Cairo
Temple of Philae - One of Nubia’s most important monument sites, the Temples of Philae, located 12 kilometers south of Aswan, was an ancient pilgrimage center for the cult of Isis. It dazzled travelers with its power for centuries. This sacred site was venerated from the Pharaonic era to the Greek, Roman, and Byzantine periods, with each ruler adding their own mark. Saved from a watery grave by UNESCO’s rescue project, which relocated the monuments block by block from Philae Island to Agilika Island, the temples continue to enchant visitors.
