Walking tour - The tour was very interesting with local information and history. We explored the town, had candy and wine tasting and learned about the city. I really recommend it.

A Fun and Fascinating Walk Through Helen - Walking through Helen with this guide was a true highlight of our trip. Their deep knowledge of the town’s history and main landmarks was shared in a friendly, funny, and engaging way. Every story felt alive, and the relaxed humor created the perfect atmosphere for visitors to learn, explore, and truly enjoy the unique charm of this beautiful Bavarian-style town.

Interesting, Fun, and Informative Tour of Helen - We really enjoyed our tour with Brent! We learned a lot about the history of Helen, and had fun along the way. I would highly recommend taking this your because it is a great way to survey the town and figure out what you'd like to go back to the most. We did a wine and moonshine tasting, candy tasting, gemstone mining, and visited the most beautiful clock shop. Out your guide recommended and walked everyone to lunch at different restaurants at the end of our tour and answered any questions we had. Definitely take this reasonably priced walking tour.

Great way to start the day! - Very enjoyable, we did have a small group so that was a plus! Helen is very walkable and has a very interesting history, Brent was knowledgeable and was open to all questions and made it a great experience. Awesome all around

Best tour guide - The weather was wonderful for a walk. The guide was informed, and I enjoyed his stories. It became a 3 hour walk, and I couldn't continue walking without a break. The tour guide went to get his car and picked us up at the point that we tired out

Leisurely Tour Through The Alpine Culture of Helen, GA - This 2 hour tour was informative regarding how the town of Helen was established. It is a walking tour on flat surfaces (sidewalks primarily). There are a few steps down to the Chattahoochee River. Reasonable priced. We were not able to do the mining experience due to the colder weather. We were able to get the history of how the gold rush really started near Helen (and not California)!!
If you are looking for an off the beaten path experience, this is not the tour for you. We vistied many sites that you can explore on your own - minus the history that Emma our guide was excellent in providing. She's very knowledgeable, fun, and made sure to point out architecture and artwork created by the cities founders. She provided excellent recommendations in the area for dining as well as additional exploration.
It was amazing to see Helen all decorated for the Christmas season. The Holiday Markets and were fun to explore. Although the tour doesn't include a tour of the wineries, it is worthwhile to visit a few to experience the beauty of the countryside.
Overall, this tour was pleasant but we did a lot of back-tracking. The two hours goes quick! We enjoyed taking in the town and fresh air. Good tour to get your bearings where you want to spend more time exploring, shopping, or eating!

Tour in Helen - This was a very enjoyable tour. I did not read the description correctly. I thought it was a bus tour but it was a walking tour. The tour guide who was very knowledgeable was also very good about my mobility issue. I cannot walk that far. When she stopped to explain things she made sure there was a place for me to sit. She had pictures of what buildings and things looked like in the past. She answered all questions and she was a pleasure to be with.

October tour bad idea - Could be fun and informative lots of information and history most people don't know about. Places we might not have found The downside of this tour was the guy walked way too fast for us. I had trouble keeping up. There were two ladies with canes and she walked very very fast and at the end, they walked away from me and I didn't even find them, so I didn't even finish the tour with them. She should've waited and make sure everybody was with her. I didn't like that at all.
