A great day and very enjoyable trip. - This tour was fantastic. The scenery was spectacular, and it was amazing to see some of the filming locations for All Creatures Great and Small. Barry was brilliant, and such a lovely guy. He has no end of knowledge to share and literally gave us a running commentary from start to finish. The only tweaks that could make the trip even better would be to allow more time in Grassington. An hour was not enough to look around once lunch had been factored in.
Also, an extra 15 minutes in the museum would be good. So much to see and not quite enough time. A thoroughly enjoyable day!

The best possible experience in Wrexham - As fans of the documentary, we wanted to make the most of our time in Wrexham and visit all the iconic places we had seen on screen. Booking this tour was the best decision we could have made.
Kim was absolutely lovely and attentive, and she made our visit to Wrexham truly special. We walked around the city, discovering important landmarks such as St Giles’ Church and the many murals dedicated to Wrexham AFC. During the tour, we also met really lovely people, some of whom were even part of the documentary.
We finished the tour by visiting the stadium and The Turf, enjoyed a few Wrexham Lager, and spent the rest of the day strolling around the city.
Without a doubt, this was the best possible experience in Wrexham, and it wouldn’t have been the same without our wonderful guide, Kim. We truly hope to return in the future, as a part of us will always remain in Wrexham.

BEST tour guide---Most knowledgeable and considerate - The wonderful series, "All Creatures Great and Small" brought me to York.,
This beautiful area of England, the Dales was breathtaking. Seeing the location spots of this series was a real thrill, making the series come to life.
The real surprise was the Village of Grassington, aka Darrobey, the fictional town of ACG&S. This Sunday, a festival was happening and ALL the local residents came attired in 30s and 40s including WWII attire. Unbelievable. The local square was filled with 30s, 40s music, dancing, even vehicles of these historical years of peace and war. Even a small airplane was there along with antique cars. FANTASTIC! Was told we missed the lead actor who plays "James" was present the day before. Bummer, as he is great along with the other 3 actors.
This whole tour was the best ever with Bary our driver and guide I ever had in all my travels because of his knowledge, great driving skills, humor and consideration to us all.
Kudos to "Brit Tours" for this very kind gentleman who transported us into the 30s and 40s period of WWII history.
As a senior lady, 83 with my senior son, Bary demonstrated his kindness and patience to which I appreciated greatly.

The Yorkshire Dales of James Herriot Come Alive - Our guide, Barry, was a gem—knowledgeable about both versions of the TV show, full of behind‑the‑scenes stories, filming trivia, the personalities, plus local history, and nature! The energy and warmth he gave made the day feel as much about people and place as it was about the fiction. He was always amenable to accommodating requests if possible.
Whether you’re a die‑hard James Herriot fan, a lover of British period drama, or someone who simply longs for green hills and heartfelt stories, this tour delivers on every level.
Highly, highly recommend!

Safe travels through the Dales - Our driver Lee was wonderful. His commentary was extremely informative and interesting. He took great care of his passengers, looking out for their individual needs. We loved the All Creatures Great and Small tour, despite the rain. As one who prefers to drive, I felt extremely safe with Lee at the wheel.

An Interesting, Fun Experience - Overall, the tour was quite good. Barry shared lots of information about filming sites for both the first and second series. He also had wonderful stories about the little extras (ie., the man who carved mice into the pews he made, the behind story of Wensleydale cheese, etc.). I did have trouble keeping straight which site matched which series though, especially since I had not watched the second version. It would have been nice to make a short stop at the church where the first TV James and Helen were married. All of us in the van appreciated Barry's willingness to make a little side detour to the town where Wensleydale cheese is made. We like the Wallace and Grommit shows and had fun at the cheese store. Bought cheese, of course!! Bolton Castle was good. The only problem for myself, my husband and my son was that we had a bit of problem with motion sickness which was not Barry's or the tour company's fault. The roads were very narrow, twisty turny, and up and down. I had more problems than the other two. Luckily we stopped for an hour lunch in Grossington (sp), and afterwards felt better. Thinking back, I probably should have asked Barry to stop for a bit longer at one of the other sites. That would have helped (I think)
