- Harare - Gather in the hotel lobby for a warm welcome and the start of our tour. The journey begins at Africa Unity Square (formerly Cecil Square), where guests receive a comprehensive introduction to the country and its capital, Harare. This iconic site, along with nearby landmarks like the city’s oldest hotel, offers travelers insights into the three branches of government: judiciary, legislative, and executive. Participants will learn about the country’s history, divided into pre-colonial, colonial, and post-colonial periods. Zimbabwe boasts a rich cultural and religious diversity, so travelers will be introduced to various religions and shown places of worship around the city.
- Mbare Market - Departing from Harare’s CBD, the tour passes historic sites such as the parliament, judiciary, executive, and central bank buildings, and travels through the Kopje before reaching Mbare. This vibrant area, the oldest township in Harare and one of the oldest in the country, offers a glimpse into local life and contrasts with other tour stops. Mbare is a vital hub, housing the country’s largest bus terminus and the biggest local fresh produce market.
