Hanoi City Tour - Night Train to Sapa (B, L)

Hanoi - Spend a full day exploring Hanoi city, including the Ho Chi Minh Complex (Ho Chi Minh Mausoleum, Ho Chi Minh Museum, and the President’s house on stilts, One Pillar Pagoda), Tran Quoc Pagoda, Temple of Literature, Old Quarters, and the Museum of Ethnology. On Monday, Wednesday, and Friday, a visit to Bat Trang pottery village will replace the museum visit.

Enjoy some free time for dinner before the pickup at 20:30 from your hotel for the night train to Sapa. Overnight on the train.

Hanoi Railway Station - Overnight Train to Sapa

Lao Cai - Sapa – Y Linh Ho – Lao Chai – Ta Van – Sapa (B-L-D)

Lao Cai - 6:30 – Meet the guide and driver upon arrival at Lao Cai Train Station and transfer to Sapa by a shared bus. The uphill journey to Sapa takes just over an hour, offering a first look at the breathtaking landscapes and impressive rice terraces.

Sapa - Upon arrival at the hotel in Sapa, enjoy an early check-in if available, or access a basic room for refreshment before breakfast.

Y Linh Ho - 09:30 – Begin the day with a 6km walk southeast of Sapa along Muong Hoa Valley to Y Linh Ho village, home to the Black H’mong.

Lao Chai - Continue walking another 3km to Lao Chai village. Stop for lunch at the village.

Ta Van Village - After lunch, trek through the rice terraces to Ta Van village of the Tay minority. The trek is relatively easy, though the trail can be slippery if it rains, so good footwear is recommended.

Sapa - 15:00 – Return to Sapa by shared bus and check into the hotel. Enjoy free time to explore Sapa town, especially its market with colorful handicrafts. Have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel in Sapa Town.

Sapa - Cat Cat Village – Sapa - Overnight Train (B/L/D)

Cat Cat Village - 8:00 – After breakfast, start the second day by exploring villages located about 4 km southwest of Sapa, including Cat Village, home to the Black H’mong people. This trek offers stunning views of a picturesque waterfall and the remains of a hydro-electric power station built in the early 20th century.

Sin Chai Village - Continue hiking another 3km to Sin Chai village, situated at the base of Hoang Lien Son Mountain with Fansipan Peak, known as the roof of Vietnam and Indochina. Enjoy panoramic views of the village and take photos before heading back to Sapa Town.

Hanoi – Halong Overnight Cruise (B, L, D)

Old Quarter - Early arrival in Hanoi (05:30 - 06:00 am), take a taxi to the chosen hotel to store luggage, have breakfast (no room) before taking the bus to Halong (pickup time: 08:30 - 09:00 am)

Halong Bay - Pickup to Halong Bay between 8:30-9:00 am, followed by a 2.5-hour drive to Halong Bay.

Upon arrival, board the cruise, check into your cabin, and enjoy a delicious lunch at the restaurant. Afternoon activities may include visiting Titop Island for swimming or hiking, then stopping for kayaking or bamboo boat riding. Join a cooking class or a sunset party before dinner. The evening is free for leisure or you can join squid fishing. Overnight in a private cabin on a shared cruise.

Halong Bay – Hanoi Old Quarter - Departure (B/L)

Halong Bay - Option to join a Tai Chi Class on the sundeck or engage in photo hunting in the early morning. After breakfast, visit Sung Sot Cave, one of the most beautiful caves in Halong Bay. Then check out of the cabin and leave your belongings on the boat. Enjoy lunch while the boat passes many islands and islets on the way back to the harbor. Around 11:30 - 12:00, the boat returns to the harbor, and you will transfer back to Hanoi Old Quarter.

Sung Sot Cave - The most beautiful cave in Halong Bay

Old Quarter - After a 2.5-hour drive, arrive in Hanoi City around 15:00 to 15:15 PM. Enjoy free time to explore the Old Quarter until the transfer to the airport for your departure flight (a 45-minute transfer, with flights after 08:00 pm recommended).
