A must-do! - Without much ideas of what to see/do on our first day in Hanoi, having a private and customised walking tour by a local is a great way to get to know the city. Our guide Vy, has good English skill and pleasantly showed us Hanoi landmarks to our interests. We were told the small booking fee (about US$5) was for a donation and we're to cover our guide's applicable entry fees and F&B expenses as she accompanies us plus optional tips. Overall, the tour was well worth it. Vy also gave good recommendations on money changing, shopping, and places for good food.

Excellent Experience - Highly Recommended! - Our two guides, Alice (Hoa) and Camelia (Quynh), were absolutely delightful and we loved getting to know them as we walked through Hanoi. We booked the tour on Saturday for Sunday, so you don’t have to book too far in advance which is great if you are only here for a few days. We received prompt confirmation and then Alice got in touch via WhatsApp to arrange meeting up and to find out what we were interested in seeing. We are staying in BA Dinh so requested a visit to the Long Bien wholesale market, Long Bien Bridge, a walk through the Old Quarter and a visit to a specific temple. All of this was fulfilled. We got loads of information about the history and traditions of Vietnam and they answered our questions about everything from street names to shops to food - it was very engaging. In addition, we visited a Heritage House in the Old Quarter and learnt about the White Horse Temple. We finished our tour with a drink at Cafe Pho Co and a lovely chat. The ladies were very open, friendly and good fun to be with. You will be sent in advance details about how the tour works including information about paying for the tour guides entry fee into museums and temples. This is well worth it as they will answer any questions you have and share their knowledge of places. We would consider booking another tour because we enjoyed it so much. Thank you Alice and Camelia ❤️

Perfect day in Hanoi with Anna and Quinn - It was a unique and engaging experience. Our two guides Anna and Quinn carefully understood our needs. They picked us up directly from the hotel and helped us get taxis, entrance fees, avoid problems as well as giving us great tips on our stay in Hanoi for restaurants and attractions. We understood Vietnamese history and culture through two authentic local guides. The only downside? There is no possibility of giving six stars. Congratulations and thank you from the heart!

Great way to begin exploring Hanoi - We booked this free tour for one of our first days in Hanoi and it was a great experience! Organizing the tour was easy through WhatsApp, our guide got in touch earlier that day to arrange meeting at our accommodation in the Old Quarter. We had 2 guides, Duy and Dao, and they were a lot of fun, very easy to talk to, and provided some great insight into Vietnamese culture that we wouldn't have learned otherwise. Highlights were visiting pagodas and learning about the different aspects and symbolism inside, and the "special" coffee shop tucked away down an alleyway for our first egg coffee! Throughout the tour our guides would checking in asking if something interested us or not, which made it customisable in terms of both length and content. Highly recommend this tour!

It was the best Hanoi experience thanks to my guide - On the day, we met at 9:30 in the morning at the hotel, and then we were given a tour of Hanoi. They showed us efficiently all the places we wanted to visit, like Hoan Kiem Lake, Hanoi Cathedral, Train Street and Wen Mausoleum. The guides explained the history and culture of each region very carefully and enthusiastically, and I learned a lot. My parents couldn't speak English, but my daughter was able to translate for me, which helped me a lot because I understood the content. We also had Buncha, a famous Vietnamese dish, for lunch and enjoyed the unique taste of the local area. Although it was only a short half day, we had a very fulfilling time. I don't think I would have known Vietnamese culture and history in such depth without the guide. I am truly grateful. If you are visiting Hanoi, I would definitely recommend this tour.
