Arrival in Hanoi - Night Train to Sapa (No Meal)

Noi Bai International Airport - Arrive in Hanoi. A warm welcome awaits at the airport, followed by a transfer to your hotel in the city center.

Old Quarter - Enjoy some free time to explore the Old Quarter area. Between 8:30 - 8:45 PM, our staff will escort you to the train station by taxi for the night train to Lao Cai Train Station.

Lao Cai Province - Spend the night on the train heading to Lao Cai Train Station.

Lao Cai - Sapa - Trekking Villages - Overnight in Sapa Hotel (B/L/D)

Lao Cai Province - 6:30 AM – Upon arrival at Lao Cai Train Station, meet our guide and driver for a transfer to Sapa by shared bus. The scenic uphill journey to Sapa takes just over an hour, offering a first look at the breathtaking landscapes and impressive rice terraces.

Sapa - Upon reaching the hotel in Sapa, enjoy an early check-in if available. Otherwise, access a basic room for refreshment before breakfast.

Y Linh Ho - 09:30 AM – Begin the day with a 6km walk southeast of Sapa along Muong Hoa Valley to Y Linh Ho village, home to the Black H’mong.

Lao Chai - Continue walking another 3km to Lao Chai village. Pause here for lunch.

Ta Van Village - After lunch, trek through rice terraces to Ta Van village of the Tay minority. The trek is relatively easy, though the trail can be slippery if it rains, so good footwear is recommended.

Sapa - 3:00 PM – Return to Sapa by shared bus and check into the hotel. Enjoy free time to explore Sapa town, especially its market with colorful handicrafts. Have dinner and stay overnight at the hotel in Sapa Town.

Cat Cat Village - Free Time in Sapa - Lao Cai - Night Train to Hanoi City (B/L/D)

Cat Cat Village - Walk 4 km southwest of Sapa to visit Cat Cat village of the Black H’mong. Relax by the stunning waterfall and the remnants of a hydroelectric power station built by the French during colonial times in Vietnam. Enjoy a picnic lunch by the river, then walk 3 km to Sin Chai, a village at the foot of Fansipan Mountain, “the roof of Vietnam and Indochina.” From here, enjoy vast stunning landscapes before taking a jeep back to Sapa.

Sapa - Enjoy free time to explore the town before a tourist bus picks you up for the journey to Lao Cai City to catch the overnight train to Hanoi.

Hanoi - Ninh Binh Day Tour (B/L)

Old Quarter - The train arrives in Hanoi around 5:30 AM to 6:00 AM. Take a taxi back to your hotel to store luggage and enjoy free time until breakfast (breakfast included, no room). Relax before spending the day exploring Ninh Binh (pick-up at 7:45 AM to 8:00 AM).

Ninh Binh - At 8:00 AM, depart from your hotel for Ninh Binh (2-hour drive). Enjoy the beautiful roadside scenery en route. Upon arrival in Ninh Binh province, visit Hoa Lu – the Ancient Capital of Vietnam. Continue to Tam Coc and have lunch at a nice restaurant before boarding a small sampan to visit Tam Coc, which means “Three Caves.” With Halong-type views of majestic limestone cliffs, mysterious caves, and countryside sights like peaceful streams, rice paddies, and deserted green fields, Tam Coc offers it all.

Old Quarter - Return to Hanoi in the late afternoon. Overnight at a hotel in Hanoi.

Hanoi - Halong Bay - Overnight Cruise (B/L/D)

Old Quarter - 07:45 – 08:30 AM: Pick-up from your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter. Head to Ha Long Bay. Distance from Hanoi to Ha Long: 180 kilometers/2.5 – 3 hours.

Tuan Chau Island - 11:30 AM: Upon arrival at our lobby in Tuan Chau Marina, take a short break while our staff handles registration with the local government.

Halong Bay - 12:00 – 12:30 PM: The cruise captain and staff welcome you onboard after a short tender transfer. Enjoy a refreshing welcome drink, followed by a brief cruise orientation and safety instructions. 12:30 – 1:00 PM: The cruise sets sail to Ha Long Bay – one of the New Seven Natural Wonders of the World. Lunch is served on board as the cruise passes by amazing limestone karst formations rising impressively from the sea. 2:00 – 2:30 PM: Disembark to explore Sung Sot Cave (also known as Surprise/Amazing Cave), one of the largest and most beautiful caves in Ha Long Bay. Visit Titop Island for swimming or hiking up the mountain. Join a cooking class before dinner on the boat. After dinner, enjoy various activities including karaoke and squid fishing, or relax with drinks from our bar. The rest of the day is at your leisure.

Halong Bay - Hanoi - Overnight in Hotel (B/L)

Halong Bay - 6:15 – 7:00 AM: Breakfast is served. Enjoy the meal with the magnificent view of the sunrise in Ha Long Bay. 8:00 - 9:30 AM: The cruise approaches the center of the Natural Preservation Area. Join our guide on a short trip to Luon Cave. This natural wonder showcases the formation of karst mountains. Discover this masterpiece by kayaking on your own. If lucky, capture great photos of mischievous monkeys playing around the cliffs. 9:30 AM: Return to the cruise for check-out. 10:00 AM: As we cruise back, a delightful lunch is served. 11:35 AM: Arrive at the quayside in the south of the bay, where visitors disembark at Tuan Chau Marina. Depart for Hanoi on our shuttle. Distance from Hanoi to Ha Long: 180 kilometers/2.5 – 3 hours.

Old Quarter - 3:30 – 4:00 PM: Return to your hotel in Hanoi Old Quarter. Enjoy free time to explore the Hanoi Old Quarter area.

Hanoi City Tour - Overnight Hotel in Hanoi (B/L)
