Best photos of our trip for sure - A little more expensive than normal tours, but don't be afraid. This is not a normal tour and you will not go on a tourist tour. It is something unique that takes you beyond the tourist route to get to know locations and take excellent photos (nat geo style) of Vietnam. Guides help with photographic experience. I recommend it to anyone who does not want to be just a tourist in Vietnam.

Perfect Hanoi Tours - We had a fantastic 2 days in Hanoi with Momentlives. They did a great city tour one day. The train experience was a highlight. The 2nd day we did a full day photo tour of the incense and fish basket villages. . What a special experience to spend the day with people doing almost lost art.

Excellent Tour for Photograhers - As a keen photographer, I normally stay away from actual photography tours so i like the flexible of keeping on my own time. However, after booking the 3 handicraft village tour that Momentlives took us on, I must say, it was an outstanding experience. James, our guide, was very knowledgable, gave us all the time we needed, helped compose shots and took us to some hidden gems along the way. I have heard some bad things about other Vientnam photo tours but can assure you, Momentlives strike the perfect balance between flexibility and knowledge to their organised tours. I will certianly be booking again on my next visit.

Inspirational photo tour with great encounters and background information - I booked this tour at the end of our trip to Asia and was super satisfied. The hotel pick-up is of course very early at 05.15 in the morning - but you gain impressions beyond the tourist crowds. We had breakfast on site in a restaurant - the soup with the crab meat was delicious (and the coffee prepared by my guide Mike was also delicious). My guide was extremely friendly and helped me a lot with the settings and compositions. He was also able to report interesting details from Vietnamese culture between North, South and Central Vietnam. Because he knows the villagers and talks to them, very different encounters also come about. Especially the encounter with a war veteran I found very impressive. A great experience that I highly recommend. Next time I would book the other villages as part of a day tour as well. This time I had to go to the airport in the afternoon.

Inspiring and Meaningful Experience - I had an amazing experience on the photography tour in the incense village, and a huge part of that was thanks Son Trieu, who was exceptional as our guide. From the very beginning, he was warm, knowledgeable, and incredibly attentive. He knew exactly where to take us for the best light, colors, and compositions, and he timed everything perfectly so we could capture various phases of incense-making process at their most beautiful moments. Son didn’t just point out photo spots—he explained the traditions behind the village, introduced us respectfully to several local artisans and families, and made sure we were photographing in a way that felt authentic and ethical. His tips on angles, framing, and storytelling genuinely helped me improve my shots, and I came away with some of my favorite photos from my entire Vietnam trip. The tour was well-organized, relaxed, and inspiring, and I never felt rushed. If you’re a photographer, whether beginner or experienced, I highly recommend the tour and Son as a guide. A five-star experience from start to finish!
