Museum of Cultures of Vietnam’s Ethnic Groups - 11:00 – Explore the Vietnam Museum of Ethnology, which highlights the diverse cultural heritage of Vietnam’s 54 officially recognized ethnic groups through displays, artifacts, and traditional dwellings.
Note: On Mondays, when the Museum of Ethnology is closed, the itinerary will include a visit to the Vietnam Women’s Museum instead.
12:30-12:45: Enjoy a Vietnamese cuisine lunch at our luxury restaurant, “Mesdames Linh.” - Temple of Literature & National University - 13:45 – 14:00 – Visit the Temple of Literature, Vietnam’s first national university, established in 1070 and dedicated to Confucius and scholars. Once the site of the Imperial Academy, it remains a lasting emblem of Vietnam’s rich educational tradition and respect for learning.
- Hoa Lo Prison - 15:00 – Proceed to Hoa Lo Prison, constructed by the French between 1886 and 1901 during the colonial period. Known as Maison Centrale, it once detained Vietnamese revolutionaries opposing French rule and later, during the Vietnam War, American prisoners of war. Today, the site serves as a poignant reminder of Vietnam’s turbulent history and the enduring spirit of its people.
