Ha Giang - Trekking - Tam Son (75km)
Bac Sum Pass - 9:00 AM: We depart from Ha Giang City, tracing the Mien River. Your first stop is Bac Sum, the gateway to the UNESCO Global Geoparks (UGGp), as designated by UNESCO.
Quan Ba Heaven Gate - We will continue to Quan Ba Twin Mountain, which rises to 1,600 meters and is one of the standout highlights of your visit to Ha Giang. Next, we will visit Nam Dam village, home to the Dao ethnic group, to see their traditional mud houses.

Can Ty - We’ll have lunch in Quan Ba Town before continuing your journey to Can Ty Pass.
Lung Khuy Cave - Afterward, we will explore Lung Khuy Cave, hiking about 4 to 5 kilometers for approximately 1 to 2 hours.
Tam Son - 5:00 PM: We arrive at Tham Ma Pass late afternoon and check in at a homestay.
7:00 PM: We enjoy some local cuisine at the homestay.
Tam Son - Lung Cu - Dong Van (135km)
Dinh Vua Meo - 8:30 AM: After breakfast, we visit the Hmong King Palace (the Opium King Palace). The Hmong King’s Palace (also known as Dinh Vua Mèo or The Palace of King Vương Chí Sình) is a remarkable historical site located in Sa Phin Valley, Dong Van District, Ha Giang Province, northern Vietnam. Built in the early 20th century, the palace served as the residence and administrative center of Vương Chí Sình, the influential Hmong leader recognized as the “King of the Hmong” in the Dong Van Plateau.
The architecture reflects a blend of Hmong, Chinese, and French styles, featuring stone walls, wooden pillars, and intricate carvings that symbolize power and prosperity. Surrounded by majestic limestone mountains, the palace stands as a powerful reminder of the Hmong people’s rich cultural heritage and their role in the history of the Ha Giang region.
Lung Cu - 1:00 PM: Lunch in Lung Cu village. Lũng Cú Village lies at the northernmost point of Vietnam, in Dong Van District, Ha Giang Province, near the border with China. Known as “the roof of Vietnam,” it is home to ethnic groups like the Hmong and Lô Lô, who preserve their unique traditions and lifestyles amid dramatic mountain landscapes. The iconic Lũng Cú Flag Tower, standing atop Dragon Mountain, symbolizes national pride and marks the northern tip of the country, offering breathtaking panoramic views of valleys and terraced fields below.
Lung Cu Flag Tower - 2:00 PM: We drive to the northernmost point of Vietnam, near the southern border of China, just 5 km from the Lung Cu National Flagpole (you can see China from the top).
Don Cao Fortress - 4:00 PM: On your way back to Dong Van Town, we’ll stop at the ancient village of Thien Huong, a charming place near the border where we can enjoy views of the old French Fortress.
The French fort, Don Cao Fortress, is located at the top of a mountain in Dong Van. It was used to observe and defend the area, and has a bunker and a viewpoint.
Dong Van - 5:00 PM: We return to Dong Van Town, check in at the hotel, and then enjoy some free time to explore the ancient town.
7:00 PM: It’s dinner time (savor some local cuisine and wrap up the day with a homemade happy drink).
Dong Van - Ma Pi Leng Pass - Du Gia Village (120km)
Dong Van - 8:00 AM: After breakfast in town with mountain views, we can visit Dong Van Central Market. The market tends to be more vibrant with local fairs if it’s Sunday.
Ma Pi Leng Pass - 11:30 AM: We continue along the road through Ma Pi Leng Pass, one of Vietnam’s four most beautiful passes. Ma Pi Leng Pass, located in Ha Giang Province, is one of the most breathtaking mountain passes in Vietnam and part of the legendary Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark. Stretching about 20 kilometers between Dong Van and Meo Vac, the pass winds along towering limestone cliffs above the deep Nho Que River Gorge, offering dramatic panoramic views at every turn.
Built in the 1960s by local ethnic workers, often called the “Road of Happiness,” Ma Pi Leng stands as a symbol of courage and determination. Today, it’s a must-visit highlight for travelers seeking Vietnam’s most spectacular landscapes and an unforgettable motorbike adventure through the northern mountains.
Meo Vac - 1:00 PM: Lunch in Meo Vac town. Meo Vac Town, nestled deep in the mountains of Ha Giang Province, is a charming valley town surrounded by limestone peaks and terraced fields. It serves as the final stop along the legendary Ma Pi Leng Pass and a cultural hub of the Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark.
Home to diverse ethnic groups such as the Hmong, Tay, and Lo Lo, Meo Vac offers visitors an authentic glimpse into highland life. The town is best known for its Sunday Market, where locals in colorful traditional attire gather to trade goods, livestock, and stories — creating a vibrant and unforgettable atmosphere of mountain culture.
Du Gia - 2:30 PM: Stop at Ngoc Long River: Take a refreshing break by the clear, emerald waters of the Ngoc Long River. Here, you can swim, enjoy a peaceful bamboo boat ride, or try kayaking surrounded by stunning limestone mountains — a perfect moment to relax and soak in the natural beauty of Ha Giang’s highlands.
Du Gia - 5:30 PM: We arrive at Du Gia village and check in at the Tay people’s homestay. We then relax in this tranquil town.
7:00 PM: Enjoy a family dinner accompanied by traditional music.
Du Gia village - Ha Giang City (120km) - LIMOUSINE BACK TO HANOI
Du Gia - 8:30 AM: Depart for the Du Gia Waterfall, a hidden gem nestled in the lush valleys of Du Gia Village. The scenic ride takes you through winding mountain roads and peaceful local hamlets before reaching the waterfall — an ideal spot to relax, swim, and enjoy the refreshing natural surroundings.
Ha Giang - 9:30 AM: We will continue to Ha Giang City, passing beautiful Hmong villages, where we will pause for photos
Lung Tam Village - We’ll visit Lung Tam Village, a peaceful Hmong community nestled in the Quan Ba Valley. Here, you can observe and learn about the centuries-old art of hemp weaving, a traditional craft passed down through generations. Watch the skilled Hmong women transform raw hemp into beautiful, handwoven textiles — a fascinating insight into their creativity, patience, and cultural heritage.
Quan Ba - 1:30 PM: Take a lunch break in Thai An Village, a tranquil stop surrounded by rice terraces and mountain views. Enjoy a hearty local meal prepared with fresh regional ingredients — the perfect pause to recharge before continuing the journey through Ha Giang’s stunning countryside.
Ha Giang - 2:30 PM: Return to the road for the final 45 km to Ha Giang City.
Be sure to stop at the city viewpoint for a panoramic view of the city and enjoy one last beer or coffee with your team after the tour.
4:00 PM: We arrive at Lucky House Ha Giang, where we say goodbye over cold drinks and cherish the wonderful memories from the adventure.
Hanoi - Take the limousine back to Hanoi: You can choose one of the limousines departing for Hanoi from Ha Giang at 4:00 PM. The journey takes 6 to 7 hours to Hanoi.
