Ha Noi – Ha Giang City (350km: L/D)
Hanoi - At 6:30 am, guests will be picked up by our car and guide from the hotel lobby in Hanoi’s old quarter or the main gate of the Hanoi Opera House, then depart for Ha Giang. The journey takes approximately 7 hours by limousine.
Ha Giang - At 3:00 pm, the tour guide will meet guests at the hotel to explore Ha Giang City. Visitors will see Km0 square, the Ha Giang Museum, and enjoy a panoramic view from Nui Cam mountain. They will also explore Thanh Thuy near the Chinese border and discover Thon Tha, a charming village about 6 km from Ha Giang City, known for its ancient stilt houses, terraced rice fields, and a picturesque waterfall perfect for leisurely walks. Dinner will be served at 7:00 pm, followed by free time to relax at the hotel.
Ha Giang City – Lung Cu – Dong Van Town (B + L + D)
Quan Ba Heaven Gate - At 7:00 am, guests will have breakfast and check out. Our car and guide will then take them to explore other attractions in Ha Giang, such as Quan Ba Heaven Gate, Can Ty Pass, Tham Ma Pass, Sung La Valley, and Lung Cam Village. Quan Ba Heaven Gate, often referred to as Da Lat in the north, is particularly notable for its unique location. In the distance, the Co Tien twin mountains can be seen dimly in the mist and sunlight. Standing at the top, the misty mountain clouds create a scene reminiscent of a fairyland, offering a magnificent view of the natural landscape.
Yen Minh - At 12:00 pm, guests will enjoy lunch with local cuisine in the small town of Yen Minh before continuing the journey.
Dong Van Karst Plateau Geopark - At 1:30 pm, the tour continues to visit places like King Meo’s Palace, an ancient lord’s residence of the Hmong people. Guests will visit the mansion where King Meo once lived, and then proceed to Lung Cu flagpole, a popular tourist attraction in Ha Giang. This site is not only a tourist spot but also a national pride, marking the sacred Vietnamese territory. The journey continues to Lo Lo Chai village, where cultural, material, and spiritual values of the highland peoples are preserved. Walking around Lo Lo Chai Village, visitors can admire the typical walled house architecture often found in the Ha Giang stone plateau. The tiled roofs are closely situated, creating a simple, peaceful scene.
Dong Van – Lũng Cú - Meo Vac. (B/L/D)
Lung Cu Flag Tower - Originally built during the Ly dynasty as a simple sa moc tree, the Lung Cu flagpole was rebuilt by the French in 1887. It underwent several restorations in 1992, 2000, and notably in 2002, when it was erected to a height of about 20m. The base and pedestal are hexagonal, featuring 6 reliefs depicting the surface of Dong Son bronze drums. At the top, a 9m high flagpole flies the Vietnamese national flag, measuring 9m long and 6m wide, with a total area of 54 square meters. Lung Cu flagpole is a major tourist attraction in Ha Giang, symbolizing national pride and marking Vietnam’s sacred territory.
Ma Pi Leng Pass - Known as one of Vietnam’s “death passes,” Ma Pi Leng Pass is famous for its challenging turns that test the skills of backpackers. The pass stretches 20km at an altitude of 1,200 m on the Dong Van stone plateau, winding through the mountains. Whether a backpacker or not, many have heard of Ma Pi Leng’s reputation. It is one of the “four great passes,” known for its wild, dangerous, yet captivating beauty. Conquering Ma Pi Leng is challenging, but it draws adventurers eager to navigate its zigzag roads surrounded by steep, rocky mountains and deep abysses.
Nho Que River - Nho Que River in Ha Giang is a must-visit for those planning a trip to the misty city of the Northeast. To capture breathtaking photos during a visit to Ha Giang, stopping by Nho Que River is essential to fully appreciate the majestic natural beauty.
Meo Vac – Du Gia Village. (B/L/D)
Meo Vac - At 7:00 am, guests will have breakfast and check out from the homestay to return to Ha Giang city. Along the way, they can visit Meo Vac town, a highland district near the China border. The district is sparsely populated, with the Hmong people making up about 70% of the population. The Hmong traditionally live on high, rugged mountain ranges. (On Sunday mornings, they gather to trade and socialize at the Meo Vac town market.)
Du Gia - Du Gia Ha Giang is renowned for its wild and majestic natural landscape of rivers, mountains, clouds, and sky, as well as its poetic beauty that captivates visitors. Du Gia Ha Giang is becoming a popular destination for young travelers from around the world. Here, visitors can immerse themselves in the wild mountains and forests, admire the charming landscapes, and learn about the cultural identity, unique customs, and traditions of the warm-hearted and hospitable ethnic people.
Du Gia – Duong Thuong Valley - Ha Giang – Ha Noi (B/L)
Du Gia - At 7:00 am, guests will have breakfast at the homestay. Afterward, they can explore the village. At 9:00 am, they will check out and return to Ha Giang city. On the way back, they can visit Duong Thuong valley, where visitors will be amazed by the lush green mountains and the white clouds hovering over the distant mountain range, creating a poetic and peaceful atmosphere. The valley’s flat terrain is ideal for walking and exploring. Visitors can also explore Lung Tam village, a handicraft village of the Hmong people located in the middle of Lung Tam valley, and Nam Dam village, a beautiful and peaceful small village of the Dao people about 2 km from Quan Ba town, known for its traditional houses and herbal medicines.
Quan Ba - At 1:00 pm, the car will stop for lunch in Quan Ba town before heading to Ha Giang City.
Ha Giang - At 3:30 pm, the car will pick up guests to return to Hanoi, concluding the trip at their hotel in Hanoi’s old quarter.
