Hanoi/Ninh Binh – Lan Ha Bay Full-day Boat Tour– Bioluminescent Night Kayak (L, D)

Old Quarter - 7:00-7:20. Guests will be picked up from their hotel in the Hanoi Old Quarter area or Ninh Binh and depart for Cat Ba Island. There will be brief stops along the way for rest. Upon reaching Hai Phong City, a ferry will be taken to Cat Ba Island, followed by a road journey to Ben Beo Pier.

Cat Ba Island - Arrive at Ben Beo Pier. Board the boat and begin cruising through the breathtaking Lan Ha Bay. As the journey begins, be captivated by the magnificent limestone formations emerging from the emerald waters. The cruise will pass Cai Beo Fishing Village, one of the oldest and most traditional floating villages in northern Vietnam, and continue sailing among thousands of uniquely shaped karst towers.
12:00: Enjoy a freshly prepared Vietnamese lunch onboard, lovingly cooked by the local crew (vegetarian options available).

14:30: Explore the pristine lagoon area of Lan Ha Bay by kayak. Paddle through the Dark and Bright Caves, natural tunnels, and majestic archways. This area is both stunning and ecologically protected.

Lan Ha Bay - 16:30: Stop at Ba Trai Dao Beach for swimming and jumping from the boat. This beach is remote, quiet, and less touristy - perfect for discovering temple beaches, hidden lagoons, and scenic rock arches.
17:30: Visit a local floating fish farm to learn how fishermen live and work on the water. Participate in a hands-on cooking class onboard, where traditional Vietnamese dishes will be prepared. Dinner will be served on the boat.
19:30: As the sun sets, experience the magic of bioluminescent plankton. Join the guide for a special kayaking session in areas glowing with natural light. Swimming under the stars and watching your silhouette sparkle in the dark water is also an option.
20:00: Arrive at Viet Hai Village, located about 10 kilometers from Cat Ba Town. Nestled in the heart of the jungle, this charming village is surrounded by lush forest, towering mountains, and serene natural beauty.

Viet Hai Village - 06:30: Enjoy a hearty breakfast at the restaurant.
07:30: Hop on a bicycle and cycle around Viet Hai Village. Take in the fresh mountain air, scenic views, and even try a fun fish massage in the natural stream.
08:30: Check out of the room. Return to Viet Hai Pier and set sail once more toward Monkey Island.

Lan Ha Bay - 09:30: Arrive at Monkey Island. Relax and swim on the sandy beach, interact with playful monkeys, or take a short trek up to the island’s viewpoint for a panoramic view of Lan Ha Bay.
10:30: Lunch is served onboard as the cruise heads back toward the harbor.
11:30: Arrive at Cai Beo Harbor. Board the bus for the return journey to Hanoi or Ninh Binh.

Old Quarter - 16:00 – 16:30: Arrive at your accommodation in Hanoi/Ninh Binh. End of the trip!

On weekends or holidays, some roads in Hanoi Old Quarter will be closed to vehicles to make room for the Walking Street; therefore, the buses will drop guests off at the Bus office in the Old Quarter instead.
