To discover So beautiful and peaceful - Too short to explore this beautiful peaceful and green area. With our excellent guide Quoc, we crossed the "jungle", small villages lost in the forest, saw a beautiful cave, crossed beautiful rice fields, made bamboo boat. It was really great. You just have to love walking but that's how you get the best soak in the country. Perfect organization. Very comfortable accommodation. Thanks again to our guide Quoc

Pu Luong in the rain - Despite the unfavorable weather, the trip was a success. The guide did his best. Everything was fine, especially the help in dealing with Storm Bualoi.

Great hike thru the rice fields - We went on a hike thru’ the rice fields, to the Muong cave and experienced local village life along the way. It was a great trek, seeing the beautiful scenery of the almost ripe golden rice stalks and drinking sugar cane juice. Our guide, Quoc, did a great job hiking with us, showing us the local life and telling us stories. He also brought us to a local village to see a lady manually converting cotton to thread and weaving it into scarves.

Unforgettable experience in Pu Luong! - We originally planned to go to Sapa, but our receptionist in Hanoi and our local guide for Nimh Binh recommended us to go to Pu Luong instead for a less touristy yet rich cultural experience with the local Thai and Muong communities. Pu Luong exceeded my expectations! This tour company organized our transport from Hanoi to Pu Luong and our accommodations. But the highlight for our 2-day trip was our local guide Mr Quoc. When we reached Pu Luong, we were greeted by a gentle, soft-spoken local guide and his driver. Mr Quoc guided us through an off-road path. We hiked through streams, forested areas, bat cave, rice fields and different local villages. We finished off the day with a simple cooking class. The one thing I appreciated the most, is he was concerned for our safety. He taught us where to steps, which rocks or plants to avoid. Secondly, as we passed by villages, everyone knew him and he had an interesting story about them; so we felt very safe with him. The first day hike, I must say you need to be relatively fit. There are some long steep uphills and without shade when walking next to the rice fields. We covered 8.5-km (3h 30m). On our second day, we covered 5.5-km (2h 15m) but mostly downhill and flats. We saw even more beautiful rice fields, cotton weaving and finished off with a nice cool dip at the Heui waterfall. Thank you again Mr Quoc for an unforgettable experience!

Fantastic trekking and cultural experience - We have such a wonderful time with our guide, Mr Quoc. We did so much activities in the 2 days + trekking through the villages, caves, waterfall, rice fields etc. But the wonderful thing is the stories he tells. And he is always looking out for our safety, while encouraging us to experience the place, like dip in the waterfall, hike up unusual path, try weaving.

A perfect mix of peace and adventure, an excursion well worth it! - Pu Luong is absolutely beautiful and definitely worth visiting! The hotel was fantastic with great food and gorgeous views. The 2 day experience had a nice mix of relaxation and adventure. The rice fields were beautiful and the people in the village were so friendly and warm. Pu Luong is a little off the beaten path which is perfect to have a authentic experience. I highly recommend!!!

Highly recommended! - I thoroughly enjoyed this tour. My tour guide, Lee, made this trip even more memorable. He took the initiative to point things out to me and explain them - different plants, animals, houses, the lifestyle of locals and so on, so his genuine excitement and passion was obvious. He also helped to translate any questions I had for the local families we visited on the way, and I was lucky enough to drink tea with the locals in their homes. He also offered to take mamy photos for me. Overall, Lee was one of the most passionate tour guides I have had the pleasure of meeting. The accommodation (Gateway Inn Puluong) was clean and had a fantastic view. Staff was friendly and helpful and even accommodated my request for a slightly later check out so I could shower after my tour. Just a note that it's normal to have insects in the room (though there is an insect net on the bed) given the region. The cleanliness and hospitality makes up for it though!

Unforgettable 2-day trip to Pu Luong - We originally planned to go to Ha Giang, but ended up choosing Pu Luong instead – and we couldn’t be happier! We stayed at the cozy and welcoming Gateway Inn and were picked up by our lovely and knowledgeable guide, Lee, who took us around Pu Luong’s stunning landscapes, small villages, and endless rice fields. It was truly an unforgettable trip, filled with breathtaking scenery and so many beautiful moments. A big thank you for giving us such an amazing experience!
