Hangzhou - The guide will meet the operator in the hotel lobby around 09:00 AM to begin the day. The first destination is the renowned West Lake.
West Lake (Xi Hu) - West Lake is the epitome of Hangzhou’s beauty. Surrounded by rolling hills, this mirror-like lake is fringed with willows swaying in the breeze and adorned with islets and blooming lotus flowers. Every angle offers stunning photographic opportunities. The delightful ‘Three Pools Mirroring the Moon’ scene is even featured on the CNY 1 note.
Lingyin Temple - Next, the journey continues to Lingyin Temple, where time will be spent soaking in the rich Buddhist atmosphere. This is Hangzhou’s oldest temple, with a history spanning over 1,700 years. It is a treasure trove of Buddhist culture, housing relics from various dynasties. The guide will share intriguing stories about Ji Gong, a maverick monk ordained here, known for his ragged appearance and unconventional ways.
Longjing Tea Fields - After lunch, the tour proceeds to a tea plantation to explore Hangzhou’s tea culture. Longjing Tea, or Dragon Well Tea, with a history of over 1,200 years, is China’s premier tea, known as the “Green Queen.” Visiting the Longjing Tea plantations offers a chance to enjoy the lush scenery and learn about tea culture and Chinese heritage.
Pagoda of Six Harmonies - The next stop is the Six Harmonies Pagoda, located by the dynamic Qiantang River. Built during the Northern Song Dynasty (960 - 1127), this pagoda has stood guard over the river for over 1,000 years. Externally, it appears as a 13-story structure about 60 meters (200 feet) tall, with an iron bell under each of its 104 cornices. Climbing seven floors inside provides the best views of the Qiantang River.
Hangzhou - Finally, the guide will return the operator to the hotel.
Hangzhou - Suzhou. O/N Suzhou.
Suzhou - The guide will meet the operator in the hotel lobby around 09:00 AM for a 2.5-hour journey to the famous Suzhou Town.
Humble Administrator’s Garden - Upon arrival, the tour begins at the Humble Administrator’s Garden, a classical garden filled with elegant scenes. Located in Suzhou’s northeast, this garden is the city’s largest and most renowned classical garden. With over 500 years of history, it was originally constructed during the Ming Dynasty (1368-1644) and exemplifies Chinese private gardens. The garden is divided into eastern, western, and central sections, each featuring lush greenery, blooming flowers, intricate galleries, and unique buildings.
Suzhou Village - Next, the tour explores Suzhou’s old town. A tricycle ride offers a glimpse of the ancient architecture that has stood the test of time.
Tongli Town - After lunch, the tour heads to Tongli Ancient Town. With its long history and careful preservation, Tongli is a captivating place to experience the charm of a water town along the Yangtze River.
Tongli is a picturesque, historic town interwoven with waterways. Visitors can see 49 ancient bridges and 7 small isles divided by rivers and their branches. Walking along Tongli Town’s flagstone paths, one finds that most dwellings are built at the water’s edge, with boats moored in front. The Retreat and Reflection Garden (Tuisi Garden) is a highlight, with nearly all buildings situated by the jade-like pond.
Suzhou - Finally, the guide will return the operator to the hotel.
Suzhou - Zhouzhuang - Shanghai. O/N Shanghai.
Suzhou - The guide will meet the operator in the hotel lobby around 09:00 AM for a 60-minute, 50km journey to the renowned Zhouzhuang.
Zhouzhuang Water Town - This ancient town is a vast scenic area to explore. Unlike nearby modern cities, everything here is traditional and charming, including navy-blue narrow lanes, off-white residences, blocky stone bridges, and the river flowing beneath windows. A visit to the Former Residence of Shen Wansan, the first millionaire in the south during the early Ming Dynasty, is recommended.
Huangpu River - After lunch, the tour moves to the Shanghai Bund area for a 50-minute cruise on the Huangpu River. Along the riverbanks, numerous landmark buildings showcase the city’s past, present, and future. The Yangpu and Nanpu Bridges resemble two dragons spanning the river, with the Oriental Pearl TV Tower nestled beneath them, creating a scene of ‘Two Dragons Playing a Ball.’ This cruise is an excellent way to explore the city’s history, culture, and stunning landscape.
The Bund (Wai Tan) - Later, enjoy leisure time at the Bund to admire various architectural styles. There are ample photo opportunities, and free time is provided to explore independently.
Shanghai - Finally, the guide will return the operator to the hotel.

The visit lasts approximately two hours.
Yu Garden (Yuyuan) - Next, enjoy a leisurely stroll through the beautiful Yu Garden. Located in the old town, Yuyuan Garden is the city’s most famous ancient site, known for its ingenious layout and delicate architecture. The garden’s treasure, Yu Ling Long (an exquisite jade stone), is an artificial hill considered one of Southern China’s three most famous peaks.
Yuyuan Old Street - Then, visit the Yuyuan Bazaar, also known as Yuyuan Market, located outside Yu Garden in the heart of Old Shanghai City, near the Old City God Temple. The area features many traditional Chinese buildings now serving as commercial stores selling local products, snacks, jewelry, souvenirs, antiques, and more.

It is the world’s 8th tallest building and the 4th tallest in Mainland China. The 100th floor features a 55-meter-long viewing gallery, the second-highest observation deck in China, surpassing the Canadian TV Tower (447 meters) and the Dubai Tower (440 meters).
Xintiandi - Finally, visit Xin Tian Di, a revitalized former neighborhood of old Shanghai, now a fashionable pedestrian street with fine restaurants, upscale clubs, and boutiques.
