Amazing trip of a lifetime - This trip is truly a must-do life experience. Sleeping in a tent under the stars, just you and your group, surrounded by silence, was magical. The Sahara offers the most breathtaking sunset and sunrise, with nothing but the gentle breeze as your soundtrack.
Saber and Nuri took incredible care of us at the camp, preparing a delicious dinner and breakfast. They even let me bring a few drinks along and kindly kept them chilled for us in an icebox.
A huge shoutout to our amazing driver, Mange. He took us to all the locations on our itinerary and shared insightful details about each area throughout the journey. Friendly, helpful, and incredibly accommodating. Mange spent hours driving us across the Tunisia, always made sure we had plenty of breaks for coffee, restroom stops, or just to stretch and enjoy the views.
Before entering the Sahara, you can choose between a camel ride or a quad bike adventure, we went with the quads, and it was a blast. There’s also time to relax at a hotel and enjoy the pool before heading into the desert.
Over the 2 days, we explored incredible sites like El Jem, Matmata, a traditional Berber house, the Chebika Oasis, Tozeur with its beautiful mosque, and the historic medina and mosque in Kairouan.
There’s so much to see, experience, and enjoy. Highly recommended for anyone looking to truly connect with nature, history, and culture.

2 days filled with wonder and memories! - Wow, amazing…. This 2 day tour gave us a weeks worth of memories!
We are 2, 50 odd year old’s who were looking for a memory making experience so after searching the internet I found Ali’s business. I contacted the owner Ali, directly before we arrived. Having never visited Tunisia before we built our holiday around this 2 day trip for the experience of camping in the Sahara and we were not disappointed. Right from the start Ali was attentive, very kind and so informative, he is passionate about his country and its people and this comes across in how he delivers the information to you.
We were picked up, by Ali in his very comfortable car, at our Hammamet hotel at 06.30 and didn’t return until 18.30 the next day. Don’t get me wrong this is a whirlwind trip down to the south of the country and then across country to return, it’s about 1000Km in total, but it is worth every one of those Kilometres and more! Do not let this deter you. You visit really interesting sights on route breaking the journey with the end of day one at Douz whereby you are placed in the care of Ali’s wonderful team Nori and Saba who then drive you into the desert, quite literally- off the road and following nomad tracks. On arrival at the camp location, we went off exploring while Nori and Saba prepared our tent, lit the camp fire and arranged the salon area for us to sit on an evening. We climbed a sand dune and waited or the sun to set in the most spectacular fashion, as it always does when away from civilisation. We came back to tea being served in the salon area. Saba cooked us the most gorgeous dinner (they have a kitchen tent) which after the bland all inclusive hotel food was full of flavours and local dates for desert, all set in front of the camp fire with tea and water (tip- if you want any other drinks grab some on route, Ali stops lots of times and there is loads of opportunities to buy other types). The evening entertainment was the ‘nearly’ full moon, stars and the local wildlife. The camp is lit but if you want complete darkness then with a flick of a remote switch the lights are out and the sky is full! The tent we slept in (raised camp beds) was soooo comfortable and there was even a toilet, set a distance from the camp in true wild camping style with the addition of a raised loo-) Tip- take hand sanitizer or I took a hotel size shower gel as there is a water butt for washing hands and filling the bucket to tip in the loo. We woke early at 4am to bread baked on the camp fire by Nori, served with apricot jam and coffee. I don’t think those 2 young men slept at all! They packed up the camp and off we went just as the sun was rising to meet Ali back in Douz ready for full sun up and another day of visiting amazing places. That one night in the desert was one of the most amazing nights I have spent in my many years of travelling. I would do it again in a heart beat.
After watching the full sun rise from a sand dune on the edge of Douz, we travelled a little further south then west into the Atlas Mountains to remote places that truly made us feel we were on a huge adventure. We had the loveliest homemade lunch at a small restaurant in the mountains. I am not going to spoil anyone’s future visit by saying where we went, or posting pictures, it needs to be a surprise for all you future guests, but you will not be disappointed in any way. It’s a long journey back to Hammamet, again punctuated with plenty rest stops but if you are not good a car travelling this is not for you. All we can say is we met Ali, Nori, Saba and his beautiful country and its people as foreigners and strangers, and we left as friends.
Thank you Ali and you team! Andrea (Andi) & Stu. (Newcastle/UK)

A trip seeing unique sites of Tunisia not available in the holiday resort. - What a fantastic trip to see far flung corners of Tunisia. I was picked up early by my guide before departing for the mountains and lunch at the set of Star wars where I had lunch, followed by a tour of a dug out cave house, with the owner to experience life in the hot Tunisian mountains. After this I was taken to the borders of the Sahara where I enjoyed a quad bike in the desert, before setting off to the camp for a traditional beduin meal (which was delicious) and sleeping for the night. In the morning breakfast was served home cooked sand baked bread before heading off across the salt flats to the borders of Algeria for a Oasis in the middle of the desert mountains, followed by lunch. A long drive back ensued stopping of at a Mosque for a short break and joined my guide in breaking his Ramamdan fast for a coffee and cake, before returning home to the hotel just before 21:00.

Tunisia can be so beautiful! - Great experience!
Highly recommended!
Excellent care, even if there were minor language barriers in the desert.
We felt super comfortable.
Delicious dinner and great musical performances by the two guides!!
The ride from Hammamet was a bit adventurous, incl. Sandstorm, but Mongi chauffeured us perfectly.
Great encounters with locals have corrected the impression from the tourist stronghold again.

Hotel 100000 stars - I lived this experience with my boyfriend and it filled our hearts. The tour allowed us to see much of Tunisia receiving all the necessary information and directions to know the place and its culture. Wonderful places, each with its own peculiarity: waterfalls, oases, amphitheatre, big cities in the desert and much more. In just two days we managed to travel most of Tunisia stopping in all the most beautiful and characteristic destinations that make the country known. Nevertheless, the most exciting experience that will remain forever in our memories is the night in a tent. The collaborators Mohamed and Saber spent the night with us, not only supervising the area while they slept but also showing us the desert with all new eyes: they were no longer just sand dunes but slides, they were no longer just grains but rain... Looking at the photos I hope you understand my allusions. The desert could become anything we wanted: a kitchen, a bathroom, an entire house, ... . I emphasize the importance of having had so warm and rich of heart people beside us, they really warmed our hearts and gave something priceless.
I strongly Recommendation to live this experience to anyone who loves to get lost looking at the sky and the immensity of nature in relation to the edification of man.

5 stars - Individual 2 Days Land & People Tour with Sahara Overnight - Many very nice impressions of the culture, the country & people, started in Hammamet with many stops to Douz and on into the desert. Where we had an overnight stay under the stars. Here Mohammed (can also be seen in one of the photos) & Saber looked after us and prepared a great dinner and breakfast. Entertainment was also provided, we all made music and sang together. Faical drove us 2 days, a total of 1450km, safely through the streets and desert. Kamel did the tour and impressed us with his extensive knowledge of history as well as the country and people.
It was a uniquely great experience. Even if the price seems a bit high at first glance, for the individual experience away from all groups, which makes it all worth it.

It was amazing - Ali is very knowledgable and knows the best kept secret locations, avoiding many of the big coach tour destinations in favour of something more authentic.
We had an amazing night in the desert, which even included thunder and lightning.
Every meal was delicious especially the one made at camp.
We were well looked after and would recommend.

Amazing experience, but not really private - This tour was something we were really looking forward to in Tunisia, and a reason why we decided to book a private tour instead of a group tour. Mongi, our driver, was amazing! Very kind and very attentive. But unfortunately there was a group tour happening in parallel, organized by the same agency, and at the end although in a separate car, we had the group experience. We had to keep waiting for the group, our driver had to make several unnecessary stops because of the group, etc. I texted Ali to complain, who was very friendly, but nothing changed. The argumentation was that we could profit from the group’s guide, but the guide was not very informative and was mainly speaking Italian (because the group was Italian, we are Germans). All in all, it was an unforgettable night (indeed sleeping alone, the group was at a hotel), but we are very disappointed to pay the extra fee for the private tour, when we were accompanied and our pace was ruled by the Italian group, who paid less. I would also like to say that Nori, who was in the camp with us overnight, was very nice and baked an amazing breakfast for us.
So, in a nutshell: we did not really get “ A Private Camp will be organized for you, just for you in the middle of the desert!!!!! it is not a fixed camp!!!!
A Private Camp created for You & Just for You!!!!”
