Driver/Guide picked us up... - Driver/Guide picked us up at the port and drove us to and through Yala National Park. It was an hour drive in a covered open air vehicle to reach the park. Amazing number of animals including elephants, monkeys, water buffalos, birds etc. We did not get to see a leopard on our trip. Please note there is a 2 hour window from 12 - 2 where the park is closed and you sit at a crowded area with a limited lunch menu waiting for the park to reopen. This is a park policy to give the animals a break during the heat of the day. Our driver was amazing at spotting things. There were a lot of other vehicles in the park.

Great day at Yala Park – great guide, safe ride and perfect organization. - Highly recommended! We were picked up on time at the port, the communication in advance was uncomplicated and our group of 12 people was conveniently distributed over two spacious off-road vehicles. In Yala National Park, our driver Delanka showed us numerous animals with a lot of commitment and explained everything in an understandable way. Despite off‐road routes, we felt safe at all times. The return trip to the port was timely and stress-free. An all around great day!

Yala safari - The best thing to do here is the Yala safari. We saw over ten different types of wildlife here. Our guide has amazing eyes and could see the animals and pointed them out to us.

Nice tour - We took this Yala Safari tour from our cruise ship. We had an excellent driver. It was a long day with challenging paths in the park. Very bumpy! We didn’t see elephants. We may have seen a leopard (according to the driver!) but it was far away in the trees. Seeing animals of course is hit or miss. Saw a lizard, some peacocks and several water buffalo. Some nice birds too. I would recommend this tour as long as you understand the length of time and the roads in the Park. .

Excellent trip - Shuttle from ship to cruise terminal entrance where we were met by representative and directed to our jeep transport. There were 6 travellers in the jeep, seats comfortable and good visibility as high. You have to pay the driver the entrance fee in cash (local currency or US dollars). Journey to Yala took just over 1 hour, and 1.5 hours for return journey. Finding animals is a bit like a needle in a haystack, but our driver manager to find lots of birds, monkeys, peacocks and towards end of visit 3 groups of elephants. We didn’t see any leopards, but other groups did. Any excellent trip, but note the following. There were no stops for toilets or food during the 6 hour trip, although water and juice was provided. Getting into the jeep can be challenging if you are small or limited mobility, as our jeep only had a single step to get into the vehicle (about 4 foot height), but some vehicles have multiple steps. Would definitely recommend the trip and tour company.

Good Nature, some disappointments - Our guide was great. He was a great driver and he worked very hard trying to find animals. Sadly, no leopards to be seen. We did see a few elephants, many water buffalo, and a lot of fantastic birds. it was disappointing how busy the park was with many many Jeeps. At times it felt uncomfortable, particularly when four Jeeps surrounded a single female elephant. We were not previously informed that there was a two-hour break in the middle of the day when we had to sit around, apparently there's some government regulation that the park is closed for 2 hours every day.
