• Palatupana - Upon arrival at Hambantota Harbour, a representative will warmly welcome guests and transport them to Yala National Park in a specially modified safari Jeep. Yala Park, located in Sri Lanka’s Dry Zone, features diverse habitats such as scrub jungles, water reservoirs, brackish lagoons, and riverine areas. It boasts one of the world’s highest leopard densities and is home to an elephant herd of approximately 300-350.

12:00 - A picnic lunch will be delivered to the designated location for guests to enjoy.

13:00 - After lunch, guests can relax and prepare for the second round of the game drive.

14:00 - Guests will board the Jeep to begin the afternoon game drive in search of leopards. With some luck, they might spot a few during this drive. Besides leopards, Yala National Park is home to elephants and various mammals such as Sloth Bears, Black-naped Hares, Spotted Deer, Sambar, Hanuman Langurs, Toque Monkeys, Stripe-necked and Ruddy Mongooses, Wild Boars, and Golden Jackals. Reptiles like the Land and Water Monitor and Marsh Crocodile can also be observed.

16:30 - Depart the National Park and head back to Hambantota Harbour, which is approximately a 45-minute drive.
