• Bundala National Park Visit - Located 251 km southeast of Colombo, near Hambantota city in the Southern Province of Sri Lanka, Bundala National Park is internationally recognized as a wintering ground for migratory aquatic birds. The ideal time to visit is from September to March, when migratory birds arrive at the park. Among the 200 recorded bird species, 58 are migratory, including the Marsh and Curlew Sandpiper, Curlew and Greenshank, Golden and Kentish Plover, and Large and Lesser Sandplovers. The Greater Flamingo is the most renowned migratory bird.

Bundala Park is home to 32 species of mammals, including civets, wild boars, Grey and Ruddy mongoose, porcupines, giant Indian palm squirrels, black-naped hares, Spotted Deer, and Wild buffalo. The park also hosts a small population of elephants, ranging from 25 to 60 depending on the season.

Reptiles such as crocodiles and mugger crocodiles inhabit the park. On the beach, marine turtles come ashore to lay eggs between October and January. Visitors can witness these turtles laying eggs at night, creating an unforgettable memory.
