Unforgettable Food Tour with Emre - I had an unforgettable experience on this food tour with Emre — truly one of the best guides I’ve ever had. We began with a stroll along the harbour, where he shared fascinating stories about Halifax’s history and pointed out some of the city’s iconic art pieces. Our first stop was McKelvie’s, a historic building where we enjoyed a delicious seafood chowder that set the tone for the rest of the tour. From there, we walked to a spot serving one of the best Donairs I’ve ever tasted, while learning about the origins of shawarma and Mediterranean cuisine. Next came a highlight for seafood lovers: fresh oysters from Nova Scotia, New Brunswick, and Prince Edward Island — each with its own distinct flavor. After that, I had my very first warm lobster sandwich, a unique and unforgettable taste I’ve only experienced here. We wrapped up the tour with a scoop of ice cream from COWS, which I’m convinced is the best ice cream in Canada (believe me!).

Best Food Tour with the Best Guide (Emre) Ever !! - Our tour guide Emre was amazing. He was right on time and met us exactly where we were told to meet. He had so much knowledge about Halifax, Nova Scotia. We had a personal tour with him along the Harbor walk and beyond. He took us to 5 food stops. the first was Mc Kelvies for the best Seafood Chowder we have ever had, Delicious!! Our guide Emre was able to tell us how they make the seafood chowder in great details. After that we took a slow walk to see the amazing art sites. We went to a special place to have a great sandwich called a Donair. (A Canadian sandwich from Halifax, Nova Scotia, consisting of spiced, ground beef cooked on a spit, sliced thinly, and served in a pita with chopped tomatoes, onions, and a signature sweet, tangy, creamy sauce made from condensed milk, vinegar, and garlic powder) Delicious!!. A nice walk to the Waterfront Warehouse where we had 3 different types of Oysters. My husband had tried oysters before but this was my first time. It was a new experience tasting oysters, they were good. We relaxed there a while with nice conversations. A short distance away was Dave's Lobster for a delicious Lobster Roll with butter on a soft warm roll we had a choice warm or cold lobster roll. Something we also had never had before and we chose the Warm Lobster roll. Again Delicious !!! On our last adventure we walked back to where we started to have amazing Ice Cream and Sorbet from Cows Ice Cream a cute place with a gift shop full of Cow Prints so cute. This was a wonderful experience with Emre I would recommend it to anyone and ask for Emre as your Guide. It was lovely tour.

Food walking tour with Emre - I had the unexpected fortune to have a private food tour with Emre, as others had cancelled their reservations. I learned so much from him about Halifax, Nova Scotia and the local food scene. Emre is very fun and interesting to talk to and it’s obvious that the local vendors really like him too. All of them greeted him and me warmly.
