• Halifax Waterfront Boardwalk - Participants will then be guided by an expert along the Halifax Waterfront Boardwalk, offering opportunities to capture photos and explore “Lamp Posts on a Bender”.
• Old Burying Ground - The tour proceeds into the city, passing landmarks such as Government House, the Old Burying Ground (first brief stop), St. Mary’s Cathedral Basilica, and the Halifax Central Library.
• St. Mary’s Basilica - The tour will then ascend Spring Garden Road, passing St. Mary’s Basilica en route to the next destination. Historical insights will be shared, and the stunning church in the city’s heart will be admired.
• Halifax Central Library - The subsequent stop is Halifax’s new library. Despite initial impressions, this library is an artistic masterpiece and a Halifax landmark.
• Halifax Public Gardens - A stroll through the picturesque and historic Halifax Public Gardens follows. A brief pause from the Segways allows for a leisurely walk through the gardens, with refreshments available.
• Halifax Citadel National Historic Site - The tour continues to Citadel Hill and the Halifax Citadel National Historic Site, offering the best views of Halifax and its surroundings. This stop (10 minutes) provides another excellent photo opportunity.
• Argyle Street - The journey proceeds along Halifax’s Argyle Street, the city’s nightlife center, en route to Grand Parade Square.
• Grand Parade - Exiting Argyle Street, the tour pauses for an iconic photo opportunity at Grand Parade. Here, the area’s history, City Hall, the city’s oldest building, a haunted restaurant, and the square’s war memorials are explored.
• The Cable Wharf - The tour concludes with a return to the Halifax Waterfront, passing Province House, the Maritime Museum of the Atlantic, The Cable Wharf, the Shops at the Queens Marquee, and “The Wave”.
