Easy to book, easy to find, fun
Staff was very friendly and accommodating. You get to launch your kayak right there at the rental place. The Springs we were able to visit were close by and we were guided on where we should check for manatees and we saw many!

Felt paddles not sized to individual. Mine was shorter than I usually paddle.
Excellent way to explore Florida's nature coast! With the half day rental we were able to cover the "keyhole" , Three Sister Springs and saw many manatees around the little islands in the river. This was a good, non-obtrusive way to observe manatees in their habitat. I went to put my phone in the drywell of the kayak and there were three manatees right behind us; I was able to photograph them!
Super friendly, very efficient, competitive prices.
Great Customer Service & no waiting
Friendly and helpful staff. The weather was lightly overcast, which was great kayaking but also made it a bit tougher to see into the water in the bay, as opposed to the spring areas which are shallow and clear enough that you can see well even without the sun. Water temperatures were not cold enough for manatees to mass up -- they do that to stay warm when the water gets cold -- but we saw a couple dozen individual manatees as we kayaked around the bay, including four that were up close, more or less directly under, beside, or in front of our kayaks. We saw more manatees on the back side of Banana Island (within sight of the keyhole) which is almost right behind Capt. Mike's than we saw in the rest of the bay and by the springs, though our best single sighting was by the Hunter Springs area where the view into the water was much better. Manatees aside, the bay and spring areas were excellent kayaking in their own right with the handy map that was provided. No complaints with our experience. I recommend Capt. Mike's to anyone interested in kayaking with manatees, keeping mind that you'll only see large numbers of manatees congregated at times when the water is sufficiently cold.
Everyone is very professional and nice. They gave us great directions to the springs and possible manatee locations. I will definitely be returning.
The staff was great. Answered all my questions, were very helpfull and friendly. Definitely coming back again.
Easy to make a reservation, reasonable prices and the boat dock help was great, but the help inside the office was a bit grumpy!
The staff were all so friendly and helpful...see you next year!
Super informative, easy. Nice people
Staff very friendly and helpful with information. kayaks in good condition. Great experience.
Had a great time. Marty (the lady at the counter) was very kind and helpful. We rented kayaks and wetsuits. Marty gave us a map to the Three Sisters, as well as other springs, and we spent a great afternoon swimming with manatees. Will go to Cap'n Mike's again. Don't forget to ask Marty for recommendations on restaurants. She won't steer you wrong.
