We had a rental for half a day but due to the thubder and rain we were not aible to get out. We could book for the next day, no problem, and the crew told us we could come whenever we liked and stay out the whole day. that was a very nice gesture from the people. We had a great day on the river and even spotted some manatees. 3 sisters spring was amazing!
Easy to make a reservation, staff was friendly and helpful showing us a map of area and where springs are located, dock staff helpful getting in and out of boats, but we could have used some first timer kayak tips. Overall, would return to rent kayaks there.
friendly staff very helpful
The staff was friendly and helpful, it was everything we desired.
EAsy to use kayaks. Friendly and helpful staff provided great customer service. Map was very useful. Reasonable rates.
Levi was terrific at pointing out specifics on the map. Really glad to know where stay away from the alligator!!
Beautiful and amazing experience. Very accommodating and friendly staff combined with the perfect environment. Will definitely visit again when I am close by.
Check in, on water with directional map, check out was as smooth as silk
It was our first time kayaking. They were very helpful and enjoyable!
The staff was excellent and very helpful! The prices are very good as well!
Everyone at Capt Mike's is great, and helpful. We had a great time, thanks!
Prompt service beautiful day.
Originally I was supposed to go kayaking on Monday but when I arrived I was told the wind was gusting and it was suggested I wait until Tuesday. Not wanting to be struggling nor unable to enjoy the day I waited. Tuesday was fabulous!! Not only was the weather beautiful, the suggested area to see manatees was perfect. Everyone at Captain Mike's was helpful and kind, great customer service. I will return.
Treated us very well. Will definitely go back in the fall.
Great personel really helpful with getting us in and out of the kayaks a great day appreciate everyone's help thank you
Staff very helpful and friendly. There were 9 of us and we had a great experience and time.
The whole group were very professional and timely and considerate and happy:)
Easy to book, easy to find, fun
Staff was very friendly and accommodating. You get to launch your kayak right there at the rental place. The Springs we were able to visit were close by and we were guided on where we should check for manatees and we saw many!
Felt paddles not sized to individual. Mine was shorter than I usually paddle.
Excellent way to explore Florida's nature coast! With the half day rental we were able to cover the "keyhole" , Three Sister Springs and saw many manatees around the little islands in the river. This was a good, non-obtrusive way to observe manatees in their habitat. I went to put my phone in the drywell of the kayak and there were three manatees right behind us; I was able to photograph them!
Super friendly, very efficient, competitive prices.
Great Customer Service & no waiting
Friendly and helpful staff. The weather was lightly overcast, which was great kayaking but also made it a bit tougher to see into the water in the bay, as opposed to the spring areas which are shallow and clear enough that you can see well even without the sun. Water temperatures were not cold enough for manatees to mass up -- they do that to stay warm when the water gets cold -- but we saw a couple dozen individual manatees as we kayaked around the bay, including four that were up close, more or less directly under, beside, or in front of our kayaks. We saw more manatees on the back side of Banana Island (within sight of the keyhole) which is almost right behind Capt. Mike's than we saw in the rest of the bay and by the springs, though our best single sighting was by the Hunter Springs area where the view into the water was much better. Manatees aside, the bay and spring areas were excellent kayaking in their own right with the handy map that was provided. No complaints with our experience. I recommend Capt. Mike's to anyone interested in kayaking with manatees, keeping mind that you'll only see large numbers of manatees congregated at times when the water is sufficiently cold.
