• Cat Ba National Park - Begin your adventure at the entrance of the National Park, where you will pay the entrance fee and set off on an exhilarating trek. Experience the lush tropical forest and encounter a variety of wildlife, such as nimble minks, inquisitive squirrels, lively monkeys, vibrant butterflies, and possibly the rare yellow-headed langur, a primate listed in the Red Book. Tackle three mountains known locally as “Ang Vắt,” “Mây Bầu,” and “Ang Phay.” After a 2.5-hour trek covering around 6 kilometers, arrive at Frog Pond, the largest freshwater lake within the National Forest. From the pond’s depths, “Va Nuoc” trees rise, a species unique to Frog Pond and not found elsewhere on Cat Ba Island. Observe the diverse fish and crab species in the pond, and enjoy a well-earned 30-minute rest. Continue your trek from Frog Pond, climbing the final mountain “Doc Dài” to reach Viet Hai village, a serene ancient settlement of about 100 families.
• Viet Hai Village - During the trek through Cat Ba National Forest, there will be a stop at Viet Hai Village. Here, enjoy a foot massage at the fish stream and savor lunch at a restaurant offering dishes rich in the cultural identity of the local people. Next, cycle to explore the Village and proceed to the wharf to board a boat to visit Vinh Lan Ha. Viet Hai is a village deep within Cat Ba National Park, boasting pristine beauty and tranquility. This location promises visitors fascinating experiences and discoveries.
