Day 2: Journey from Arusha to Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park - After a long flight to Africa, we recommend starting with a relaxed pace while minimizing travel distances. Following breakfast, you will be picked up and transported to Tarangire National Park in a 4×4 Safari jeep. Upon arrival, we will register at the gate and embark on game drives for the remainder of the day, marking the beginning of our safari adventure in the African wilderness. This park is renowned for its large elephant populations and ancient baobabs, but it also hosts a variety of other animals and birds. Expect to see lions, cheetahs, warthogs, gazelles, dik-diks, the rare long-necked gerenuks, and more. In the afternoon, we will retire to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 3: From Tarangire to Ndutu Plains/South Serengeti
Ngorongoro Conservation Area - After an early breakfast at the lodge or camp, we head to the Ndutu plains for a migration safari in Southern Serengeti. We will make a brief stop at the Loduare Main Gate before entering the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, with another short stop for photos and breathtaking views over the Ngorongoro Crater floor. We will then proceed to the Lake Ndutu area, where the action unfolds from December through March. A picnic will be served, and the afternoon will be spent on game drives until it’s time to check in at the lodge or camp for dinner and an overnight stay.
Day 4: Ndutu Plains Calving Tour
Ngorongoro Crater - The day will be spent at the Ndutu plains within the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. From January to March, the wildebeest migration gives birth to thousands of calves daily. With lush green pastures and mineral-rich soils, you will witness thousands of wildebeests, zebras, and gazelles spread across vast areas, and possibly observe predators in action. Ndutu is also a paradise for bird watchers, with 400 recorded resident and migratory bird species.
In the afternoon, we will depart for Serengeti National Park.
Day 5: Full Day in Serengeti
Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, we will embark on a full day of game drives, following the Great Migration trails. Our knowledgeable driver-guide will share fascinating insights about this world-famous event, which has made Tanzania a premier safari destination in Africa.
Serengeti, a UNESCO World Heritage site, is home to approximately 200,000 zebras and 300,000 Thomson’s gazelles, joining the wildebeest trek for fresh grazing. Experience the thrilling sounds of over 6 million hooves pounding the open plains, just as you imagined African wildlife to be.
Day 6: Exploring Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro Conservation Area - After an early breakfast, we will drive to the renowned Ngorongoro Conservation Area. From there, we will descend 600 meters into the crater to observe a diverse array of wildlife. Ngorongoro Crater is the largest unbroken caldera in the world, hosting around 20,000 animals within a compact area of about 21 kilometers across. The Crater offers a final opportunity to spot the Big Five, with excellent chances to see black rhinos and leopards, along with many other animals. In the afternoon, we will ascend from the Crater.
Day 7: Departure from Arusha/Kilimanjaro Airport
Arusha Region - After breakfast at your lodge, you will drive back to Arusha, where your safari concludes. In Arusha, you can be dropped off at The Arusha Airport for a flight to Zanzibar or transferred to Kilimanjaro International Airport for your departure.

During peak birthing season from the start of January to the end of February, around 8,000 wildebeest babies are born daily. This time of year lures a great number of predators seeking an easy feed on the defenseless younglings. As such, the southern part of Serengeti and the western zone of the Ngorongoro Crater become the most densely populated areas with predators in Africa.
Cheetahs, lions, and hyenas appear in full force, roving the grasslands, eyeing for the ideal moment to hunt. However, it’s not always possible to score an easy prey. Maternal wildebeests instinctively move to the shorter grass plains to better spot the preying enemies. They form a protective circle around the birthing females, to guard them and the newborns at their most susceptible phase - birth, thus ensuring a greater survival rate for the young ones.
