Arusha to Lake Manyara National Park
Lake Manyara National Park - Guests will be picked up from their lodge and driven to Lake Manyara National Park. They will arrive in time for lunch, and after enjoying their meal, they will embark on an afternoon game drive in the park. This park is one of Tanzania’s most stunningly situated wildlife areas, featuring a vast but shallow soda lake that covers two-thirds of the park, nestled at the base of the Great Rift Valley’s western escarpment. The park’s diverse habitat attracts a wide range of animals, including one of Africa’s largest populations of elephants, Lake Manyara’s unique tree-climbing lions, and large flocks of flamingos drawn by the lake’s algae.
Lake Manyara National Park to Serengeti Plains
Serengeti National Park - After breakfast, the journey continues towards Serengeti National Park, passing through the picturesque highland farms of Karatu and the Ngorongoro Conservation Area. Leaving the highlands, travelers will descend into the heart of wild Africa – the Serengeti National Park – with its endless plains stretching as far as the eye can see. The group will head to the central park area, known as the Seronera area, one of the park’s richest wildlife habitats, featuring the Seronera River, which provides a vital water source and attracts a wide variety of wildlife representative of most Serengeti species. A packed lunch will be provided, followed by an afternoon game drive in Serengeti National Park.
Dinner and overnight stay inside the park, according to the chosen accommodation option.
Serengeti National Park
Serengeti National Park - After breakfast and with a packed lunch, guests will enjoy an extensive game safari exploring the Serengeti’s natural plains. They will drive to view the kopjes and other plains areas for sightings of herbivores and the Big Five. Before nightfall, they will return to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Serengeti Plains to Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro Crater - After breakfast at the lodge, guests will have a morning game drive in the Serengeti, then return to the lodge for a hot lunch. Later, they will depart for the Ngorongoro Conservation Area, stopping at Olduvai Gorge, which boasts a history dating back to the dawn of time. It was here that anthropologists Dr. Louis and Mary Leakey discovered the skulls of the ‘Nutcracker Man’ and ‘Handy Man,’ both significant links in the chain of human evolution.
Dinner and overnight stay as per the chosen accommodation option on the crater rim. (No accommodation is available inside the crater)
Descending to Ngorongoro Crater
Ngorongoro Crater - After breakfast, guests will descend 600 meters into this magnificent crater for a full-day game drive. The Ngorongoro Crater is one of the most densely populated African wildlife areas in the world and is home to an estimated 30,000 animals, including some of Tanzania’s last remaining black rhinos. Supported by a year-round water supply and fodder, the Ngorongoro National Park supports a vast variety of animals, including herds of wildebeest, zebra, buffalo, eland, warthog, hippo, and giant African elephants. Another major attraction of this picturesque national park is its large population of predators, including lions, hyenas, and jackals. Guests will enjoy a picnic lunch on the crater floor.
Later, they will drive to the lodge for dinner and an overnight stay.
Karatu to Tarangire National Park
Tarangire National Park - After breakfast, guests will depart for Tarangire National Park. The park runs along the Tarangire River and is primarily composed of low-lying hills on the Great Rift Valley floor. Its natural vegetation mainly consists of Acacia woodland and giant African Baobab trees, with large swamp areas in the south. Both the river and the swamps act as magnets for wildlife during Tanzania’s dry season. Tarangire National Park is renowned for having some of the largest elephant herds in Africa. This African national park is also home to three rare animal species – the Greater Kudu, the Fringed-eared Oryx, and a few Ashy Starlings. After a picnic lunch, guests will enjoy an afternoon game drive.
Dinner and overnight stay at Tarangire Safari Lodge, inside the park.
Tarangire National Park to Arusha
Arusha Region - Guests will enjoy an early morning game drive in Tarangire National Park, followed by a hot lunch at the lodge.
