Hahndorf in a snap shot - amazing ! - Thank you Sharon & Shirley for a most enjoyable Walking Tour of Hahndorf. Your local knowledge of the history of this charming settlement was very informative and entertaining. After visiting this area on many occasions for a variety of reasons ,I am amazed at how much I learned of the early pioneers and their resilience establishing a new life. Pear trees, wells and building construction ….just a little of the informative talk as we travelled the back streets . Many thanks, Julie.

Want knowledge...you got it! - Very lucky yesterday to have Loraine doing our walking tour of Haandorf. So much knowledge of the area, and "trainee" Shirley also added in some extra info too. Lovely ladies. We were the only two on the tour, so very appreciative that it went ahead. Great work.

A delightful thoughtful cultural walk at The Cedars - Travelling with family, friends and dog, Sharon Pippos of Hahndorf Walking Tours arranged a wonderful exploration of the outside areas of The Cedars. We were welcomed to this country by Ivan Copley who led the walk with Sharon. He spoke about Peramangk history of the place and current cultural connections, Sharon spoke of Lutheran and other recent history of the area, including the Heyson family art history, both bounced off each other talking of interactions between the groups who have luved in and around the area. There was even a snake. A thoroughly delightful walk that gave lots to think about.

Handorf - the Netflix series...or at least it should be - This was a very interesting and informative tour. The guide gave a very animated, insightful and moving story of how Handorf came about. She was a descendant of the first settlers and had a real commitment to telling the amazing story. I felt it should be a Netflix series given the human drama of survival it represented...with a happy ending..in the township of Handorf.

Brilliant Hahndorf Experience – Rain, Hail or Shine!” - What a delight! Sharon is a historian, storyteller, and long-time local whose tour made Hahndorf shine—even in the worst weather. I’m glad my partner found and booked this—it was absolutely worth it.

A great tour - We booked a Monday morning tour and were the only 2 people on the tour with Sharon. As we were expecting a group, it was a surprise but Sharon provided the full tour and even went over time. Her knowledge and conversation were excellent and we enjoyed seeing some sites not open to the general public visiting Hahndorf. It was very relaxing and informative. Thankyou Sharon!!

A "Must" to truly understand Hahndorf - Wow, Sharon really knows her stuff and the stories she told made you understand that Hahndorf is so much more than a pretty Prussian tourist spot (which it is of course!). If you want to understand the background to this place, you must book yourself on one of her tours.

For the price, I thought it was very disappointing - I thought we would have seen a lot more buildings and heard more about the early days of Hahndorf. To only talk about four buildings was very disappointing.
